Love my haircut! Jessica and I talked through some ideas and she ended up giving me the best cut I've had in a long while. I haven't had bangs since I was 11. Turns out there was no reason to be scared, ha. The shampoo head massage almost put me to sleep too. RECOMMEND

Noriko is so skillful in haircutting. I keep bringing her various versions of wolf cuts with difficult bang cuts and she executes impeccably with such care and attention. Getting my hair shampooed by her is the best. It’s like a healing massage. So relaxing!

I’ve found my Portland stylist who is ono, a Hawaiian guy who truly rocks. Kahala dances thru my cuts with ease and he was a referral from another Hawaiian. It’s great to bring the spirit of akua to our great City.

Noriko has been the only stylist to cut my hair since moving from the East coast a year ago! She makes an effort to listen to what I'm looking for and she is very caring! I always feel like it's a realxing treat to get my haircut and styled by her! She is also skilled with my Asian hair texture which is fine with a lot of volume and usually needs a lot of layers.

I first started going to see Mary a little over a year ago, and I can't imagine finding anyone better. She's executed every hairstyle that I've wanted perfectly! She is a very talented and professional stylist but also the most warm and welcoming one I've ever been to. What I loved about her from my first appointment is how real and relatable she is. One can’t say enough good about Todd Hammer as a stylist and as a truly good human being. This salon is bright and airy and they carry bumble-and-bumble. Todd and Koi Pod are just the right combo to give you a great look.

Kahala does not have to aim to please as going above and beyond one's expectations every time comes naturally.

Personally, I love architecture and design so I have a critical eye. The salon is clean and stark with much attention put into details. The salon is the most beautiful salon I have ever seen, my favorite by far.

I've been going to Nathan Kollar for about 6 years. He does the most beautiful, natural color of any stylist I've ever had. He really listens to what you want and gives kind, honest recommendations. Nathan is incredibly talented and always makes sure his clients are happy with the end result. And to top it off, he's a rad dude who is fun to be around! What more could you want?

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Mary since 2007. I consider my hair finicky, wavy with some cowlicks, and very different when wet versus dry. Mary cuts my hair, dries it, then will cut some more to make sure the layers look good when dry. Mary has an ability to cut my hair in a way that grows out very nicely; I can easily go 6 months between cuts, which is perfect for me. I moved away from Portland a few years ago and tried a couple stylists in the new town I was living in but no one does as good a job as Mary. Now I make a point to stop for a haircut when driving through Portland!

Highly recommend Mary Hoffman. She gave me the most beautiful, natural blonde balayage with the perfect amount of color and application. I've received many compliments and questions of whether it's natural or not because it's light, bright, and fresh but subtle - which is just what I asked for. Very impressed with her skill, and she is a lovely woman to chat with and get to know. Down to earth and very personable. Needless to say, I am a happy customer & will definitely be back! I'm glad that I found out about Noriko. I'm usually nervous when looking for places that know how to cut my type of thick hair, but she gave me the best haircut possible. Just moved to PNW and already found my go-to salon!

I've been going to Koipod for years! Kahala is such a talented hairdresser and an amazing colorist! The stylists there seem very educated and the entire staff is so pleasant and helpful-excellent customer service! They have great product for sale at very good prices, and lots of other fun gifts, like candles, cute bobby pins etc. Their prices for services are very good as is their availability. The environment is warm and friendly, I just love this place!
