Excellent book store. Organization is a little rough but they have a wide array of cool old books. They also do book repair which is useful if you have old family books that are in need of some love. I found their price on book repair to be fair and their turn around time to be excellent.

Love the feel of this book store! Truly an independently owned little shop. At first, the number of books inside can be overwhelming, but this just means that there are a ton of options for everyone. The prices are super reasonable. Definitely worth a stop inside!!!

Miles Books is going to be my new favorite escape. My toddler and I went in and were greeted by the couple who owns the store. We spent a long time exploring. My toddler was a bit fussy, but they took it all in stride. I found an absolute treasure during my search and all beyond excited about it. That's what independent bookstores offer. The owner knows what he does or doesn't have, and it's organized enough so you can find your preferred genre... But it's the kind of place where you go to be surprised and delighted. The smell of old pages fills the store, there are stacks and mazes and shelves upon shelves of books. There are random antiques throughout, and little surprises here and there. My favorite find today was a very old and worn collection of Chinese tales that was translated into English. I also bought many books for my daughter that I was surprised to find. I didn't know that older children's books were so diverse!
But what really had me impressed was the fact that I kept them a full hour past closing time (I didn't know!) and no one told me or rushed me. I had absolutely no idea I was holding them there!
I will recommend this place to everyone I know, and promote it as best I can. We have to protect and treasure independent booksellers, especially ones that offer as much as Miles.

The owner is one of the sweetest and polite and lovely man I have Ave in a long time. It is no wonder he has been in business for years and years. Love all his interesting things. Stop by, buy a book, drink some coffee ----you will not be disappointed !!! Just wonderful !!!!

The owner here is so knowledgeable and friendly. He helped my fiancé to order a specialty book that he couldn’t find anywhere else and even got him a great deal on it as well. Definitely one of those places you hope is here to stay! Every neighborhood needs a local bookstore like this. Shop local and check this place out.

Jim Rombous is véry nice & knowledgeable of books. He's the ówner of this bookstore. My mom bought me several. Barney the purple dinosaur books there many years ago 😃😃😃😊😊😊😁😁😁

Although the books are not well organized, it was very pleasant. A lot of interesting collections, even if you dont buy anything. The owners were very friendly and appreciated the engaging conversation!

Fantastic book place. Some areas are disorganized, but my kids thought it was an adventure trying to find a book to buy. Plus I went into the back area and my jaw dropped! The best collections u can only find online to buy! Well worth the 25 minute car ride!

I love bookstores. Have worked for B&N in Tampa and Merrillville at night just for “fun”; loved being a bookseller. Miles’s Books has gotten me hard to find books online before. I think they should straighten out their shelves a bit, but I like helping out independent bookstores. Amazon has crushed the availability of local bookstores by undercutting prices due to volume. But I’m willing to pay an extra $3 per book to have a local bookstore.

Good Service and alot of good books plus me and the owner went to the same high school Lew Wallace High School. Our Alumni is big in this area ..

On my way to the café next door, I glanced at the window display. And I couldn't resist its charm. I had to go inside to peruse its aisles. As I passed through its doors, a familiar scent, that belongs only to bookstores with character, greeted me. What a wonderful place! A somewhat hidden gem in beautiful Highland!

I have been coming to Miles Books for years, if Jim does not have the book I requested, he always orders it for me! Spectacular professionalism, educated staff! Highly recommend Miles Books!
