1st time there and was so impressed. Mike is so knowledgeable about music and his love for all music really shows. He is so helpful in finding exactly what you need and he has a huge selection of music from everything old to new. Highly recommend this record store as it brings back the nostalgia of listening to great music how it was intended… on a record player. Thanks Mike for all your help.

I had a great experience purchasing my first entry level system as a gift for my husband. I know nothing about how to use or care for a record player. Mike made sure to teach me all about how to set up the system & how to properly care for my records. He is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate. He was very helpful in ensuring I was happy and comfortable with my purchase. I can’t wait for my husband to open this on Christmas morning!

This little hide away record store is well simply a diamond in the rough. If your a true vinyl person that's looking for vintage and or rare and hard to find albums this is the place for you. The prices are what they are meaning you get what you pay for quality isn't cheap old rare stuff isn't cheap and let me tell you if you want hard to find rare records this is the place. He found me some things that I wasn't aware of and I bought them without blinking an eye. I did tell him about another album that he didn't know about but we both learned something new. The owner is such a great guy. Thank for the hard work you put into finding me what I was looking for and yes ill be back to buy that other one here soon. THE BEST record store I have been to by far, Michael the owner is very knowledgeable, personable and over all a very rad guy. All selections are well organized and easily accessible. From rare older records and artists to newer artists. Very large selection with every genre of music. Will always recommend this spot check it out!!

I'm not sure about the negative reviews this business has... but I had an excellent experience in here. I've been through Crown Point on several occasions going back and forth from Chicago to home and always make a point to stop here.

Are the prices elevated a bit? I guess that depends on who you ask. I didn't think they were unreasonable for the quality of what I purchased. Not only that, but where can you actually go to a record store these days? Then when you do, you actually find someone who knows a thing or two about music.

The guy that runs this place is personable, knowledgeable and actually knows a thing or two about the local history of Crown Point, which was a treat.

If you want a genuine experience and access to just about any kind of music you could listen to, this is a great place to start.

Keep up the great work, mate. You run an awesome place and I intend on coming back!

I love the Antique Vault and Records Shop. It's a great shop inside the Historic County Courthouse right on the Square, downtown Crown Point, IN. I parked right on the Square in front of the entrance to the shops. There were 2 rooms to the shop - one on each side of the hallway, so make sure to go to both rooms. One room had vintage vinyl records and I found lots from the 60s that I was looking for. They were organized in easy to find manner alphabetized neatly. They all appear to be in very good and excellent condition. The 60 Vinyl Records I bought were in excellent condition and had been cleaned and had Vinyl Styl Archival Quality Record Sleeves on. The other room had CDs, videos, framed displays, vinyl record players and more. Very friendly and helpful owner was there. A fun place to stop by, shop, and will go back again. Other shops as well in the building and Ramen for lunch too. The BEST selection of classic rock albums I've ever seen! I've gotten so many great Beatles, Croce, CSNY, The Band, Fleetwood etc. albums. Mike is amazing to work with. So knowledgeable and customer service oriented. Not sure that I'd go anywhere else for records. Our ❤ belongs to Antique Vault & Records.

Just paid another trip to the Vault - Michael as always came through with another rare find. Not only does this record store have all the records you could ever need, but they also cater to 8 track, cassette and CD enthusiasts as well. Always awesome stock, very nice and reasonable too!

The selection is unbelievable at Great prices. Wonderful owner. Goes above and beyond. Can fix any record player or get a new one at a lower price than anywhere. Music for all types of music lovers.
It is a must stop for locals and travelers!

I think this is the first 5 Star Review I've done for a place I've never visited (soon to be corrected) and where I've never bought anything.
I'm not an audiophile, just a guy who has been collecting music since age 8 or thereabouts. Everything from old .78s to digital FLAC files. Recently, I wanted to improve the sound of my system and went online and checked out audio websites and YouTube videos. All of them offered advice, often expensive, mostly contradictory and many told me the best improvement would only come with adding more equipment. None really asked what I had (they would probably have laughed). Then I spoke to Mike at Antique Vault & Records. Mike is a distributer for a large name brand audio company and they recommended his shop because it's reasonably close to me.
Mike did something strange. He listened to what I had, checked with an expert (because surprisingly he knows he doesn't have all the answers, but in his words, "I know who to ask."), and then called me to tell me I didn't need the equipment I was trying to buy that it wasn't required. How many shops are honest enough not to oversell something to a customer? Ironic on Cyber Monday that only a brick and mortar store was honest about that? Kudos to this shop and to Mike.

Couldn't resist visiting the store. It was even nicer than I anticipated. Check out the photos both inside and out. This is an old courthouse building that has been beautifully renovated inside and out. Mike really has an awesome place here.

Micheal the owner is so knowledgeable and helpful. He spent an hour (or more) with my mom and I looking through all of his 45’s for our jukebox and helping us pick the best ones. We had a great experience 👍

Not only does Mike at antique vault records have a great selection and knowledge of music but his repair service for older equipment is great. He always has a surprise piece of audio equipment from days gone by.

I bought a vintage Sansui Stereo receiver from Michael’s store. Receiver was better than described. Shipment was fast. Receiver worked beautifully. Would recommend this seller. Five stars.

Mike (owner) is great and definitely knows his stuff! Great selection, very fair prices. If there’s something you want, he can track it down for you. I am a beginner and he was very helpful at explaining to me how to clean records and how to spot the good from the damaged. I will definitely be shopping here in the future, and so should you!

Michael is so knowledgeable and passionate about everything that has to do with music. From something as simple as how to hold and care for your vinyls all the way up to sound waves and their target frequencies for specific artists even in the same genre. He knows and can explain why you're supposed to do certain things, however, while he is educating you, he doesn't belittle you with his explanations while also explaining it in a way you can understand regardless of how experienced & knowledgeable you are yourself. Truly special to see how much he cares. Great service, great guy, and great experience overall.
