Real Hacienda#1

Real Hacienda was one of the best Mexican restaurants we've ever been to. That means 29+ years of living on the East and West Coast and still better than almost all.

Hector, the owner, truly has a gem as far as Mexican restaurants are concerned. The staff was unique and sweet, the food was absolutely authentic and amazing, and the atmosphere was great.

It is a place full of flavor, friend, and fun time.
We were hungry after a long long day of driving but we were so grateful to be staying near here. This was a blessing and please come enjoy the dinner here. Highly recommended.

So at first our dish which was the Javis Plate, came out with cold veggies that were supposed to be cooked with the meat. Then we get to making up a taco and there was literally 2 shrimp 3 strips of steak and like 5 strip of chicken. Mind you THIN strips. The whole plate was rice after I gathered the meat to show the manager. He was very quick to replace the food. Pretty sure he brought out double what we should have gotten. Overall, he addressed the problem very professionally and I appreciated that. Fajita nachos were good and great bean dip. We will return.

We stop here every time on our way through the area. Food is excellent and service great. We always sit outside, which is enjoyable. The Fajitas are outstanding – SO much flavor!!

We stumbled across this place on a road trip from Ontario to Texas. The food was amazing! Fresh warm chips with delicious salsa. Service was friendly and food came out quickly. It was soo good we made a point of stopping back in on our way home 2 weeks later.

We had a great time at Real hacienda #1 on US 41. Great Mexican atmosphere with nice decorations everywhere. Food was delicious. We got a beef taco and burrito. Chips and salsa were good. The waiters went out of their way to find the soccer game we wanted to watch. All around a pleasant experience

Excellent food and portions. Delivery was pretty fast too. Would definitely eat there again!

Great food! I was able to be in and out in roughly 30-40 minutes on Sunday around 3pm. Great service with a quick kitchen staff. I will definitely be back!

The staff is great. Food is yummy and consistent in the amount and quantity. I think they may have changed their chips in their free salsa as they don't seem as yummy. Could just be my taste though.

Interior decorations were nice. Food is the pretty typical Ameri-Mex. clean and reasonably priced.

Really good steak fajitas greatservice

This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in the Terre Haute area. We have been eating here for years. The food is always hot and delicious. The chips and salsa are amazing. The wait staff all know us by name and treat us more like family than customers. Highly recommend giving them a try. You won't be disappointed.

We had dinner there to celebrate my buddies wife's 50th birthday. The food was great. But my only complaint is that I kept telling the waiter that I wanted my steak rare and he kept saying well done. Either he didn't know the meaning or was just trying to steer me in another direction.... Hahaha....A good time was had by all !!!

Good Mexican food. Very good salsa. Nice inside. I recommend.

A favorite place for me. Salsa was super fresh, four meals were delicious. My quesadilla was just the right size, no leftovers. Another meal ordered was custom, chicken with Diablo sauce, hit all the bells and whistles. Out of town guests, everyone was very pleased.

Charming little family-run spot. Food was delicious and plates were generously-sized. All of the staff we talked to were very nice.

Just passing through and we were lucky to find this place. Excellent service, authentic food at a reasonable price . Would recommend to anyone who likes good Mexican food.

Had a wonderful time at dinner. Service was a liitle slow but the food was spot on and the atmosphere was great. In all we had a great experience with this place.

One of the best in town for Mexican food.

Amazing place. First time trying it with wife. We are over the road drivers. Highly recommend. Got spots for bobtail only in there dirty parking lot. Probably 3 spots. Small town amazing cheap Mexican food. Very cheap.
