Laurelhurst Park makes you feel like you’re not even in Portland at all. Such a spacious place with bunch of open field, benches and picnic tables.
Great place to have a picnic, walk your dog, clear your mind out and enjoy the fresh air.
Lots of street parking around the area

Laurelhurst Park is an exquisite haven of tranquility, boasting inviting benches that beckon you to indulge in delightful moments of shared meals and conversations with cherished friends or family. The pristine lake, cradled amidst a symphony of trees, captivates with its breathtaking beauty. Graceful ducks gracefully float upon its surface, welcoming the chance for you to bring delectable treats to share.

As autumn descends, the park transforms into a canvas of enchanting fall colors, painting the landscape in hues of gold, amber, and crimson. It's a sanctuary where you can bask in the serene embrace of Mother Nature, making it the perfect retreat for those seeking peaceful moments amidst the splendor of the outdoors.

Photos from spring and fall. Very nicely paved path to walk, run, or bike on. Grab a coffee nearby and take a stroll in the park. In the spring and summer, bring a picnic - there are tables. It's very dog friendly too!

Beautiful park in SE Portland designed by the same architect that designed Central Park in NYC. It has a dog area, playground, tennis courts, pond, picnic areas and beautiful old oak trees. It's my favorite park in Portland.

This park is beautiful, particularly when the fall leaves start showing and in spring. Came here on a random Sunday and had almost the whole park to ourselves.

There were a few people walking around, but the loudest ones there were the ducks

Really accessible, clean washrooms, gender inclusive, beautiful trees and landscaping. Would spend all day here with a book or paint. Excellent place for families and people of all ages. Someone was practicing Tai Chi and that warmed my heart.

Another great Portland park. Not very big but a joy to walk through. Nestled in the Laurelhurst neighborhood, a true gem of a park to visit.

I adore Laurelhurst Park. It is like Portland's Central Park. I have been coming here since I was a kid. It's beautiful, inviting, and has something for everyone. Walking and bike trail. Picturesque pond. Playground, basketball, and tennis. They even have a skate board area and Horseshoes! This is awesome picnics and playdates and all the fun park stuff. Great for phototls too. If you've never been, definitely go. A favorite if not the favorite of Portland.

I always enjoy coming here. Right now the Camellias are in bloom. There are so many different kinds of ducks in the pond. It's a great place to relax and go for a walk around the pond.

I went here for the water lantern festival and it was a lot of fun. They had several portipotties and vendors. They're a great pond and great scenery.

Lovely historic neighborhood park with a pond and walking paths.

There is no dedicated parking lot, but there's street parking adjacent to the park and in the neighborhood.

There's a restroom available. Picnic tables and benches scattered throughout the park. Multiple paved paths for walking and biking. A few unpaved paths.

Although parking can be difficult, once you get into this park you will not want to leave. There are so many sub areas inside the park, shade and sun, running space and sitting spots, grass and water. Whether you want a picnic, a place to throw a frisbee, a chance to watch the ducks, or anything else one might do in a park, you can do it here. I love this park.

It's even better on weekdays, with fewer people and easier parking.

Probably one of the biggest parks that I've ever been to. There is a bunch of trails that you can walk around the pond there is a tennis court there is basketball court it is a playground for kids to play there are a lot of features to this part that a family would have a bunch of enjoyment with their loved ones.

This is a gorgeous park, with a small water feature in the middle on the east end. There are signs everywhere requesting that you do not litter and do not try to feed the ducks because they are trying to fix the water issues and repair the ecosystem. There are paved and bark chip trails throughout the park. It was warm on the day we walked here and there were people scattered throughout the park, sunbathing, sleeping, playing games and having picnics and the park is so big and so spread out it's still felt peaceful. I suppose the giant sequoias that are scattered throughout have a lot to do with that. The entire park was well shaded, which was great on an 85 degree day in late September. The houses surrounding the park are gorgeous which just adds to the enjoyment. It felt a good 10° cooler just walking under the trees on the paved paths what are easily accessible buy wheelchair at the corners by the street and on entrances halfway down the street.

First park I ever had the pleasure of visiting in Portland so it holds a special place in my heart. It's breathtaking and feels like a hidden forest while walking through the tall tall trees. Beautiful pond, dog Park, places to hammock, often community events. A+++
