My wife had thyroid surgery here. To my surprise everyone was great! I knew the Doctor was nice. It’s the staff I was unsure about. Doctor Varela has operated on my wife twice now. He doesn’t come off as arrogant. Which in my experience is rare with Doctors. The staff was so nice! They took good care of my wife and made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend them over any Providence!

Took my partner to the ER here due to a scare. We both have serious anxiety around hospitals, but everyone was really nice and understanding and helped us feel much safer in a very stressful situation. I wasn't thinking too much about whether it'd be a 'good' hospital, I just chose the closest available ER, but I would go again for sure if I needed anything--of course, I hope I never see it again, but that's no fault of the people here.

Had to visit my aunt, who was life flighted her from 200 miles away. I personally don't like hospitals but this one was very nice. They have a secure courtyard for children with things for children to look at and learn about. It also had places over looking the courtyard for adults to "relax" at or pray or whatever is your thing. The hallway outside ICU was a lot on the HOT side, but the rest of the halls and rooms were very comfortable temperature wise. They have at least 2 different places to get food, and one is 24/7. All the staff and Dr's were very nice and helpful in keeping us informed about our aunt.

This is a really nice hospital. They plan and invest in the renovation and upkeep of the units and spaces which noticeably have a positive impact on patients and their visitors.

More importantly, a large majority of nurses, allied professionals, support staff, and physicians show a high level of professionalism and a kind attitude to patients and one another- even though working in and around healthcare is not easy.

I just had a sinus surgery in the Day Patient Unit. It was one of the BEST experiences I’ve ever had had a hospital (except for Legacy Good Samaritan in NW).

My surgery ended getting pushed back a few hours so I ended up hanging around way longer than I expected

The paper gowns everyone hates have HEATERS!

Richard was my nurse and he rocked my world! Dr Chun the anesthesiologist was super caring, fun, and delivers a wicked “pre-flight cocktail” (as he calls it) , Dr Hertler my surgeon explained everything in simple words and seemed like he was just the kind of surgeon you want: Calm, clear, and meticulous.

Highly recommend Legacy and its team.

I’m thankful that I’ve never had the opportunity to review a hospital before. However, I unexpectedly found myself at Legacy Emanuel for surgery tomorrow. I have felt very welcomed and looked after, everyone’s super friendly, and the room is private and nice. Amazing service looking after my every need. They even let my buddy smuggle in Chicken wings and beer (your mileage may vary, of course). A wholehearted 5 stars. Thank you Dr. Knoll, Dr. Raviv, RN Jen, CNA Alex and CRNs Sarah and Nat. Y’all made me welcome and comfortable, as well as my wife who stayed with me.

The staff has been nothing but the very best in the Cardiovascular unit, they took great care of my grandmother and made sure she was comfortable and safe during the whole process. We couldn't have asked for better care.

Was very impressed with my care! From my admission in the ER, to my inpatient care. Great all around! Except the food, that wasn't that good at all, except the homemade sandwiches

I know going to any emergency room can be a bad experience which I see in a lot of these reviews. But I need to say my husband was brought here from Corvallis Samaritan Hospital because of an aortic dissection and an aortic aneurysm. The chances of surviving 2 dramatic surgeries like this are slim to none. My husband lived! Then he was cared for by the most amazing nurses in the ICU (nurse Brennan!!!) Dr Ravi and Dr Crawford are brilliant doctors. I am pretty sure he would have died anywhere else. These are very complicated surgeries to perform. Then he got more great care in the cardiac recovery unit. I am in awe of the care he received here and eternally grateful.

I haven’t been to the doctor in many many years and I had to go to the emergency room here on a Tuesday night at 7 PM doubled over in pain… Im here to say it was a very good experience. People were being systematically taken care of. I did have to wait two hours to get into a room and I spent Total of eight hours there. What they DIDNT do what’s question any of my experience. They took me very very seriously. They treated me very well. Bloodwork urine CT scan pain medication. They were very attentive.I went in nervous because I do not have insurance. I walked out Not knowing what was gonna happen. I received my bill in the form of the healthcare website they have where they detailed everything that I didn’t remember they told me. Detailed the CT scan. they detailed the bill specifically. One bill. No guesswork, no gotcha. I can pay in one payment or I can pay $97 a month with NO interest until it’s paid off. That right there was a godsend. UPDATE: I have received two more bills 1 for OR Doctor and 1 for Diagnostic Radiologist / this is the final. All the nurses and specifically Dr. Gray were truly kindly. So very grateful. Thank you so much .

I just had surgery for the first time ever at this hospital. I was so amazed at how kind and wonderful every single person was in the Day Surgery unit. Nurse Kristin especially helped me feel at ease, and offered me comfort when I was scared. I feel so lucky to have had such great care during a really scary time in my life. Thanks so much for your compassionate care!!

My wife drove me here from coos Bay where I crashed an ATV. I was having trouble walking and breathing. I also have been in pretty bad pain. They treated me for serious injuries first. Making sure to cover anything that could be an issue. They gave me pain relievers and full cat scans. Every single nurse and doctor that saw me were extra nice, professional and had great senses of humor. I felt safe, secure and in great hands. I was looking through the previous reviews and see a lot of people didn't feel the same as I do. I find that hard to believe. As far as my treatment went it's one of the best hospital visits I've had, despite the pain. Thank you!

Not that I have a lot of hospital stays for comparison purposes, but I felt pretty well taken care of at Legacy Emanuel during my ER stay. There was always a nurse checking in on me (how are they all so nice and patient in that stressful environment?!) and they were super thorough with the tests before I was allowed to go home. Thank you for all you do!

The absolute BEST ICU nurses EVER! Fernando, Natalie, and Cody were ELITE at taking care of my husband, Jeff, during a very life threatening and painful surgery. Those three are unmatched! We both thank y’all so, so much.

My deepest gratitude to the whole Emergency Department for your timely intervention to my potentially lethal illness on 10/27/22. You were stuck with me and 25 others who needed regular hospital beds while the new emergencies just kept coming. You’ve all been heroes forever. Thank you for treating me with kindness, too.

And to the night staff (10/28/22) and day staff (10/29/22) on the 2nd floor my thanks and gratitude for your physician acuity, support and nursing savvy as I started feeling better. Your good humor and thoughtfulness made me feel human again. Especially and I’ll never forget… Marion, Robert and Dr Chris plus the lovely lady who made sure I didn’t slip in the shower and talked about kids with me.

Many many thanks

Besides being one of the most immaculate hospitals I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing, their staff were so efficient and their bedside manner was beyond incredible. Now let's talk about Dr. Cassandra Tomczak, orthopedic, she is a brilliant surgeon. I work in the medical field and have been in the medical field since I was age of 19 and never in my life have I ever encountered an incredible kind doctor. Doctor Tomczak treated me like I was her friend/sister, she explained to me in detail the procedure and answered every question I had. I am so grateful that I had this opportunity to meet her and to meet the staff at Emmanuel legacy hospital. May God bless each and everyone of them.

My son has been hospitalized here due to trauma. The staff here have been very pleasant. From the attendants at the front door to the catering associates that delivers his meal trays. Always greeted with a warm smile. He has received excellent nursing and medical care. Nurses and physicians have been excellent in explaining the plan of care every step of the way. I am so grateful that he was brought to this facility for his treatment.

I'm a Medicare recipient and my arm has been in pain a long time. I headed in not knowing if they would take me or my arm seriously. I couldn't have been more impressed with the kindness and care I received. I did wait a bit, but brought a good book and good attitude. I am appreciative of all the staff working Christmas Eve. This place is awesome and they are so nice. It's going to take awhile to heal, but at least I know I will. When reviewing this Hospital remember if you have to go to the emergency room you were probably already having a bad day, don't take it out on these dedicated professionals. Thanks Legacy Emmanuel especially Avine, Yolanda, Angela, Kendra, and April!

The people here have saved my my life many times. I am very grateful to the amazing folks at Wound Care, Hyperbaric Oxygen clinic, and putting stents in my heart about an hour after I got to the ER clutching my chest. Every Nurse.
