Lloyd Center Shopping Mall is a great place to go shopping. There's tons of food to eat. There are tons of Clothing and accessories. It's a great place to go window shopping at storefronts. There are lots of stores closing so it's nice to support your local malls.

I heard this center used to be one of the largest malls in the PNW back in the 60s. Recently, I visited it and was surprised at how empty it is, not many open stores. It is a waste of money and space for not utilizing those spaces.

The B&N bookshop is on the first floor, Ross entrance is on the second floor. Everything seems empty and boring. Hope the management can do something to improve the efficiency and development of the mall

While a lot of stores are closed and COVID was not nice to any business, this mall is still beautiful. Very clean and bright. The ice rink in the middle of the mall is the attraction. Claw City is a very fun place. $1 for one round as of this writing. I don't know how long this mall will last because malls in general are slowly dying. Still a great place to walk around for exercise and taking pictures for time capsules sake.

Ghost town. Glad I was able to experience the mall era before the digital age. It was fun going w/ friends back in the day.

I will be back with more pictures, but I love what they've done with Lloyd Center Mall. It may have been nearly empty, but it is like nerd central now, which we love. So many of our fandoms are represented. Books, comics, manga, cards and collectibles, Lego, tchotchkes...it's amazing. And there's an ice rink!

Ice skating was so FUN and they even had fake snow falling on us- it was wonderful! I hadn’t been ice skating in almost two decades so like others, I hugged the rail for my first lap but by lap 5- my daughter and I were cruising! Definitely worth the time and money!

We were there recently for a private ice skating party. Everyone had a great time. The Ice Rink staff were great hosts!

The first level of the parking garage is like a ghost town not a car or person in site. I guess you’re supposed to access the mall through the 2nd floor. Not too many stores left here. They do still have the ice skating rink, it is still open everyday! The mall is quiet and really clean too

This mall has seen better day. they do there best to keep it up to date and well maintained. Unfortunately the crowd around this area and the environment are quickly being coming unpleasant. security could care less about safety and lets store protect their own with loss prevention and mall grounds are patrolled rarely. Stores are very general and its hard to see way people go here besides convenience.

Good sound and picture
[Update 3/25/2023] The above brief impression was likely referring to the inside-the-mall theater which has long since been completely removed from Lloyd Center Mall -- RIP, and so many good times there with the kids in years past. The mall itself has very narrowly escaped the bulldozer following the huge downturn of the pandemic of 2020. Today was a good example of that in that it took me more than a few minutes to find a decent parking spot with a trading card event going on in the east wing. It will be an even better sign of health when some of the many empty stores are occupied once again. The ice rink was nicely crowded today. (Note that the photos I included with this review are not from this day, but from Nov 2022, when it was not very crowded at all).

I challenge you to name a place in Portland that has free garage parking, easily accessible via its very own MAX station and numerous bus routes, has a frickin’ ice rink! Sure it’s rough around the edges, sure all of the major flagship stores have fled, the movie theater across the street closed down, but dang it, there’s nothing wrong with this shabby little gem. Don’t let developers turn it into another luxury condominium or hotel!

There’s a bubble tea shop in there, it’s lovely. Go get yourself some boba and do a mall walk like you’re a geriatric retiree. You know you want to.

Fun ice rink - lots of independent stores have been moving into the mall, from tattoo studios to comic shops, which has been great. The mall hosts events that are nice to check out

I went to watch the ice skating lessons with my 16 year old daughter. The area has cleaned up and the mall is opening up lots of new stores. A renovation is coming. Plenty of parking in a garage or above ground with roving security.

Many memories here. Seen big changes in the years since opening in 1960. Sadly now, rumors are flying this Portland historical icon will soon be taken out forever, all for so-called "affordable housing". 😔😪😪

Great parking. Such a sad, lonely place. But I still love it here.

My kids love the ice skating ring. It is pretty busy mall. They have different kind of food in the food court. We tried the burger place inside the mall and it is very classic taste to it. It’s simple but tasty. I hope they put more stores in Salem Center Mall. It’s sad every store are closing and pretty much we can’t see the product anymore and try it on. Just buy everything online.

It feels a bit odd giving this place 5 stars considering it’s condition, yes, it’s pretty dead, but damn, the few places that are left have tons of personality, I enjoy going here a lot, and honestly, I find the emptiness part of the fun. Not great if you’re looking for the traditional mall experience, but it is a fun place to go for sure. (Plus the have a pretzel place and a Cinnabon, mall essentials.)

The mall itself is dead, but it still has an ice pad.
For my daughter and I, that gives it a 5 star review. 🙂

I went to Ross and Dollar tree on this trip. The inside of the mall was very nice, clean, and cool. For some reason Forever 21 was closed on Thursday around 1:45pm.
Ross had amazing deals, great stuff and better prices than anywhere I've shopped lately. I got everything I needed and so much I didn't know I needed and wanted.
There's a nice security guard who's been working there for a very long time, I saw him and as usual he was very polite. I didn't speak to any other employee, but I had no need to. The Ross closed near my home. This is now the closest one to me and I'm glad it's an enjoyable experience.
