Jaribu Beach Hotel

My stay at Jaribu Beach Hotel was nothing short of amazing! The location is a hidden paradise, with breathtaking views and direct beach access(take shoes for rocks with you). The rooms are comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully decorated.

The staff's hospitality is exceptional; they go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. The hotel's amenities, from the pool to the on-site restaurant, add to the overall experience.

If you're looking for a tranquil getaway with personalized service, Jaribu Beach Hotel is the perfect choice. I can't recommend it enough for a relaxing and rejuvenating stay.

We came here in January to celebrate our honeymoon and we are so happy, that we chose this hotel. The warmth of everybody was so welcoming and friendly, that we enjoyed our stay so much and we'd like to come again. The location is very calm because it's located between Jambiani and Paje so that you have a beach nearly for yourself. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The food is delicious and even for me as an vegan, they did everything to make my wishes come true. We booked three activities (snorkeling with the locals, Spice tour and jozani forest tour) , which were all well organised and really fun! The service is great and I could repeat myself over and over again - everybody is so nice and friendly there!

Truly OUTSTANDING hotel.
I stayed in 3 hotels in Zanzibar in dec 2023 (1 in Nungwi, 2 in Jambiani/Paje) and this was by far my favorite.
Superior double room was wonderful with fridge and tea/coffee in the room...unusual in Zanzibar (note: Basic rooms may not have this).
Service is 10 out of 10...everyone very smily and super helpful.
Value is outstanding (cheaper and overall nicer than "Fun Beach Hotel" where I stayed also).
Pool and beach-side hammocks are great.
Very quiet part of the beach, perfect if (like me) you want a quiet place without being hassled by souvenir sellers. On each nearby is a safe pathway through the rocks to a sandback in the sea...nice access for swimming or walking.
Breakfast overlooking beach is amazing...fresh fruits, juice, fresh cooked eggs, homemade jam.

100% recommended. Extremely nice staff, you can feel like home. Place is not crowded, very cosy. Beach is empty but the hotel is located in walking distance to Paje or Jambiani.
Amazing food, recommend to try spring rolls with sea food!

We arrived without especially high expectations. We had been looking for something that was peaceful, clean, served reasonable food at a reasonable price and was relatively secluded from the hussle and bustle of the hotel strips of Paje & Jambiani. Something that paid tribute to Zanzibar, its people and its culture. Jaribu exceeded our expectations on ALL of the above. However, the real surprise was the incredible welcome we received! The staff and management were unfailingly helpful. Thank you so much to all of you. You made our stay extra special. We hope to see you all again soon!

So satisfied, hard to explain, but I'll try 😊 first of all, everything is at least the same nice and good like on the pictures or even better. I like when my deal is a good deal and don't feel later any hiden tricks.
Super kind staff, everybody want to make you feel the best, all the time, every minute. It is so true, when on my last night I wanted to eat again a special noodle what I learned on the north part of the island, but it wasn't on the menu, the cheff came to me and gave me his best ideas how to make my wish true. The result? The best meal ever on the Island (what is a huge word, I'm a gastrofan and tried kind of everything 😅).
Clean and comfy rooms with AC, double bed with a big matrasse (not two small ones pushed to each other, what I hate), nice view, terasse. The pool is really good located and well equipped with the sunbads, they have the shaders when you need. On the owned beach part you'll find some double hanging bed with the view of the ocean, so comfortable I had in these beds with my wife more afternoon naps 😊
And the STAFF IS SUPERB. I love them, everybody is smiling and searching always the way how to make you even more happier. Thanks for them we found many hiden places, good snorkling places and rent place, they offered to pack the breakfast to go if we'd have an early morning program somewhere else. My wife had her birthday there during on our holiday, the staff helped to decorate and offered a nice bday program with singing, cake with her name and candles and stuff. Of course when I was interested for the local happy bday song they thought me the suahieli version. 😊
Im sure I could write more novels about the hospitality we experienced there, but you can see already the point.

Jaribu beach hotel is located in a very quiet environment, far enough from Paje to avoid the loud music and touristy feel, but close enough to be able to walk there is need be. The hotel is beautiful: facing the sea and a white-sand beach (with rarely anyone on it), the swimming pool is beautiful, the restaurant is well decorated and very welcoming. The food at the restaurant is very good. The rooms are very nice and calm. And most importantly the staff is extremely welcoming and accomodating. It was a real pleasure to stay there, and I would book again without any hesitation if I were to ever go back to zanzibar.

This really is a beautiful hotel in all ways. My room was super comfortable, the restaurant is fantastic and reasonable and the pool is to die for.
I needed to work and Rachel couldn't have been more accommodating setting up a table for me and helping when I had a computer issue.
I felt really welcome and the location is just perfect - it's peaceful but you can stroll to two resorts along the beach.

Amazing stay, beautiful location on the beach.
We have stayed for about a week and worked remotely. Perfect place to do so. Start the day with a large breakfast and an ocean view. The internet is stable and reliable. I have been able to do calls all week without lagging.

Food was very tasty (take the local dishes) and staff was extremely friendly, happy and helpful. Special thanks to Kassim, Anthony and Doctor aka Mahmud! They really make the stay complete.

Such a lovely place! Great people, awesome local food (I tried many different dishes such as fish pilau, beef mchichaand chapati and ugali - all extremely tasty), perfect location right in between Paje and Jambiani, flawless room cleaning, good WiFi.

My girlfriend and I spent about a week here after an adventurous trip on the mainland. Jaribu is the perfect beach oasis on the east coast of Zanzibar. If you’re looking for a getaway from the hustle and bustle you couldn’t pick a better place!

The owners and staff at Jaribu went above and beyond to make us feel at home, we had such a great time chatting at the resort’s bar. You also can’t beat the food! They have a great menu with lots of delicious Swahili dishes, some of my favorite meals of the trip were at Jaribu.

Extremely friendly employees. Professional. Helpful. Food is outstanding, I cannot describe how delicious it was. Everything is in a very good shape. Nice pool as well. Good location, nice beach. Beautiful view from Restaurant, with perfect Service from Mahmoud and his team members. They really know how to make you smile. You do not need a therapist. Peaceful hotel right on the beach within walking distance of quite a few places in Paje and Jambalani. I appreciated the friendly, no fuss staff. The rooms are spotless and the grounds well maintained. The hotel arranged a late night airport pickup. Good value.

we really enjoyed the resort and the nice people who work at jaribu. wonderfully quiet if you want to look up the crowds then you walk 30 min on the beach or 5 min by taxi. if we go again definitely go to jaribu beach club. big hugs from steven and sandy.

Very very nice hotel! The place is peaceful and quiet, breakfast delicious and really big, rooms are clean and you can have it cleaned every day for request. Hot shower is also a big plus, believe me, it is not obvious in Tanzania to have it ;)
We really like the helpful staff and owner ;)

We had a wonderful stay in jaribu hotel last 3 days ago and I can say that I keep coming back to jaribu. The location is nice ocean view. The food is perfect and I can say the shef is also asset of the hotel and staff too. Owner are so kind and hospitable.

Incredible place from the warm, caring front staff...Mahmoud, Egon, Halifa, with their ready smiles and enthusiastic desire to please, to the sweetest cleaning ladies who always make our room up in such a special way, the amazing garden staff who keep the grounds clean but maintain the natural beauty and who keep the swimming pool so clean and sparkling that its irresistible all the time! The lovely Maasai warrior who keeps one feeling safe at night, the chefs who prepare the most delicious food you could imagine! And last but not least, the owners, Masoud & Rachel who manage their spot in paradise with a calm presence that exudes how much they care for both guests and their employees! Rooms are beautifully basic, immaculately clean, with the luxury of crisp white cotton linen...truly a place in paradise...

Absolutely stunning! Couldn't ask for more. A little piece of paradise! Rooms clean and neat, ocean view, private patio, fans and mosquito nets inside, hot water showers. Beds comfortable with good pillows and cleaned daily, with a turn down service. The best pool we have seen so far! An infinity pool on the beach looking over iridescent sea. A short walk down a path in the sea to get to a turquoise 'beach'. Lovely to swim in or lull in the waves watching the dhows and kite surfers go by. Central between the beautiful Paje and Jambiani beaches, both walking distance. Very peaceful and relaxing, away from the hustle and bustle of tourists and hawkers. Food is decent and around the average price for the area. Everything in dollars. Can organise many activities. 'Doctor' - his nickname, full of beans and laughs, very helpful and friendly. Makes fresh smoothies every morning for breakfast. Staff lovely! Owner went out of her way to help us when my friend's cellphone fell out on the ride. Managed to get it back from Stone Town. Then went out of her way to help us find our next accommodation. Would love to have stayed on, but fully booked....so book early! Would highly recommend!

This place was amazing! The most friendly staff ever, beautiful quiet surroundings, great food and comfortable room. There is construction next-door, so noise can be variable.
