The Safari Blue, Zanzibar

We had the most incredible experience with Blue Safari! We opted for a private charter which was out of this world! From our hotel collection to drop off was perfection! The crew were amazing and the snorkelling exceptional! Our beach lunch was perfectly cooked and so delicious! There is so much on offer so come hungry! We had lobster, prawns, chicken, tuna, rice, home baked breads and sauces to complement everything!

Our snacks on the boat were so delicious and the authenticity of the experience is definitely something you need to try! I would give 10 stars if I could!

Absolutely surreal! We had a boat ride of about 45mins, to safari blue. We made a first stop at the natural swimming pool, absolutely stunning, the water was clear, the waves perfect, you can do a lot of water activities there as well and we were given fruits to eat, the beach is very safe as we left our bags to enjoy the water. Then we wen to see the baobabs with the high tides, such a sight! We had a buffet of sea food after. A beautiful place to be, it was 5hrs well spent!

An amazing trip. They have something for everyone on the trip. Great staff, super helpful. Lovely lunch and coffee!! A very worthwhile day out during your holiday.

I had no idea about this until my local driver suggested it the day before as something I should do for my birthday and it ended up being my favorite activity in Zanzibar. The snorkeling in the beautiful ocean was amazing but the seafood lunch feast exceeded expectations. Thought I’d get a small plate and a couple beers but it was all you can eat and unlimited beers. Has to be the top must do in Zanzibar

Great experience with a lot to do. The start was a little hard....preparations took almost 1 hour with us standing on the beach....bit it was compensated by the guide and the activities that he proposed. Thanks Said for taking us on Great snorkeling points and giving us the best of our time.

I went on a half-day trip that included visiting a beautiful mangrove lagoon, a sandbank that disappears and reappears with the tide, snorkeling, and barbecue lunch, and fruit sampling at Kwale Island. The crew was so helpful throughout the trip, helping me with my snorkel and life jacket when I was having trouble swimming. The assistant captain was very kind to guide me through snorkeling, as well as help my mom on the uneven beach when walking back to the dhow.

Snacks and drinks were available throughout the trip. One of the snacks was aged coconut and cinnamon-y chocolate - I wish I had remembered to ask for the name and recipe!

Unfortunately we didn't get to go swimming at the mangrove lagoon because the tide was going out - apparently, if we had stayed much longer, the dhow may have gotten stuck. We did not get to see any dolphins, but that is based on luck and did not diminish the experience.

Tip: bring a towel, as it can get chilly when you've just come out of the water and the dhow is moving.

It was fantastic time for us. I didn't expect much about this program, but it was the best experience in Zanzibar. We used 'blue safari' the cheaper one.

We loved this activity we definitely enjoyed ourselves. We started it from a place where we met our tour guide and went on a boat to the sand bank which took about an hour . At the sand bank each boat has its own tent that is set up , you can change into your swimsuits and go swimming in the ocean . Alcoholic drinks are on sale but fruits are given for free . After about an 2-3 hrs on the sandbank you proceed to snokel where you find different schools of fish very exciting. After about 30 minutes you go to the mangroves we’re we swam it was good , Shallow waters so I’d say it’s safe . After that we went for lunch which was inclusive in our pacakage we had seafood only after lunch you rest for about 1hr then sail back to the initial point . The sailing back depending on the waves can be nerve racking

This was awesome , if you go to Zanzibar you need to do this. I have only pictures of the island where we went to eat. The snorkeling was good seen a lot of fish the sandbank was too busy that day. The food was good also.

Safari Blue is definitely a MUST do activity in Zanzibar. I booked online the activities including transport from and to the resort we stayed in. You will start this amazing experience off Fumba and will be transported in a traditional wooden Dhow. You will snorkel and explore the beautiful Menai Bay conservation area. Swim in the amazing natural mango grooves and enjoy delicious Swahili seafood. You will also stop at the sandbank and wow it is quite magnificent. For all those snorkel lovers like me the sea life is Amazing and take a dry bread with you will be amazed to see how the fish school around you for a nibble out of your hand. We had our 2 year old son with us and he equally enjoyed this lovely outing. Highly recommend.

You must do the Blue Safari it was the highlight of our trip.The snorkeling was fun, food was yummy ,the staff on the boat was so professional and accommodating. Please take tip with they deserve it.if you love water then this is a must

What a great experience, again. Second time I have done a full day trip with this company and I can't fault them. The service was impeccable, the advice and recommendations were spot on. The effort they staff put in to find dolphins for us to swim with was amazing!! We saw dolphins but they were too fast. Lunch was delicious and fresh and unlimited!! This is by far the best snorkeling I have done on any holiday and will be a must if I visit Zanzibar again.
We booked through a company at the hotel, I do suggest this as it made transport easier to and from the hotel. And the package included unlimited soft drinks, beers and food.

This is the best excursion you can enjoy when at Zanzibar. Sailing all day, visiting beautiful islands with beaches you can only see in dreams. One of the best parts is snorkling above the coral. I can really say it's out of this world experience.

It was a long but great day. Snorkeling was best in the morning but not so good after the tide came back in. Lunch was good on the island and the sail back to land was relaxing and gives one a feeling of peace.
