Jozani Biosphere village and Lodge

Very good food, with special attention.. the kitchen improve a lot from what you can read in the reviews of some years ago.. recommended!

Parfaite expérience au sein de la forêt tropicale de Jozani. Un accueil aux petits oignons de Colins, une nourriture bio délicieuse par la cheffe Paolina qui mélange les traditions occidentales et africaines : un havre de paix où vous serez totalement déconnecté. Que demander de plus ? Merci à Hassan et son équipe pour leurs sourires chaleureux si communicatifs.

Perfect experience in the Jozani tropical forest. A meticulous welcome from Colins, delicious organic food by Chef Paolina who blends Western and African traditions: a haven of peace where you will be completely disconnected. What more could you ask for? Thanks to Hassan and his team for their warm, infectious smiles.

De gastvrijheid en het eten was heerlijk! We werden ontvangen met een welkomstdrankje en kregen informatie over de lodge zelf en de omgeving. De apen in het bos zijn fantastisch. Het eten (white snapper en chicken chepita) was absoluut heerlijk. De sauzen (ketchup, mayonaise, tamarinde saus en chili) waren zelf gemaakt, net als de jams die je bij het ontbijt krijgt. De lodge zelf is basic maar qua prijs-kwaliteit helemaal prima. Top om als afwisseling van alle prachtige stranden in je reis in Zanzibar op te nemen.

Accueil chaleureux avec un cocktail de bienvenue. Le chef cuisinier Rachid nous a donné toute s informations utiles pour notre séjour dès notre arrivée avec plusieurs activités sympas à faire dans le secteur. Très jolie chambre, propre, et agréablement desodorisée. Le lieu est intégré dans un très beau cadre de verdure et de nature, très calme et reposant, à quelques dizaines de mètres du parc de Josiane forest. Nous venons juste d'arriver pour 2nuits et envisageons déjà de rester une nuit supplémentaire. Belle immersion dans la vie locale. Une expérience que nous recommandons vivement.

Byliśmy w restauracji, chwilę trzeba poczekać, ale biegające w ogrodzie małpy wynagradzają to! Bardzo miła obsługa i naprawdę smaczne jedzenie, bardzo polecam, bo wygląda niepozornie.

Didn't stay at the lodge, only ate at the restaurant. Margarita pizza was very good and the Bush Baby burger had good flavor, however, the grilled steak was very tough. The potatoes served with it were really good. Service was good, very attentive to our table and very reasonably priced. I would try it again if I am in the area.

The wait was definitely worth it! The food took a long while to be served but it was absolutely delicious. We had the butter chicken (the best), wraps, fish, curry, beef burgers (the burgers weren’t fully baked (saignant) so you may not like that), chicken (it was still a bit raw though). So overall the food was really delicious! Many drinks for a cheap price and I really recommend the banana shake and the carrot, lime and ginger juice 😍. If you visit Jozani forest, come here to enjoy some good food!

Место очень приятное. Мы останавливались на одну ночь с семьей. Если не придираться к мелочам, то все очень мило. Персонал очень отзывчивый и старается помочь со всеми вопросами. Вокруг лес и спокойствие.

Par contre je ne recommande pas la nourriture n’est pas très bonne et le serveur se trompe deux fois sur nos commande malgré que nous soyons les seules clients

We booked to stay for 3 nights and asked to extend for one more night.
We were the only guests and were eating and drinking at their restaurant breakfast, lunch and dinner plus the drinks etc.
So yesterday we ordered a seafood platter for two and we received very little rice definitely not enough for 2. So we asked for some more.When bill came we were charged for the extra rice but we thought that that's not fair as the platter is supposed to feed 2 and we got the rice that we get for 1 person's dish.
The young girl that is the owner's daughter and pretends to manage the customers and their needs got obviously upset. She said that we cannot stay the extra night that we requested and she gave us back the money for the third night. So basically she kicked us out .
Food is good but very small portions.
They don't have a clue about looking after their customers even though they barely have any.
They prefer to kick away customers that would stay for two more nights and eat and drink at their place for a bit of rice.
Go and figure yourselves if you should go to this place or not.

The worst food on the island

Malgré un bon accueil, notre chambre n’avait pas de cumulus donc pas d’eau chaude , nous n’avons pas pris repas sur place , par contre attention au petit déjeuner trop de gingembre dans le café et thé peu digeste, un conseil vous trouverez à vous loger pas très loin du parc de Josani

1h30 d’attente pour un petit morceau de poulet mal cuit pour 7$ chaque. Un accueil lunaire, un service inexistant. Je recommande fortement pour l’originalité d’une expérience que nous n’avons jamais connue.😁
