Our family of 6 dropped in without a reservation and were lucky to have the owner of the tea farm bring us on the tea experience tour!

The owner was superbly friendly and knowledgeable about all sorts of tea and we had a great time picking tea leaves and roasting / making our own green tea!

We were also given samples of the higher grade teas, which the owner very kindly shared with us! They also sell award-winning teas and various other tea related items.

Our experience was a warm, relaxing and intellectually stimulating one and we especially liked that there was no hardselling at all. We eventually bought extra packets of the rose red tea after trying the cold brew red tea made by the owner.

Personally, the tour was so much value and we honestly felt bad that the owner was so willing to let us sample teas that were not included in the tour. Hospitality aside, the teas were also really good and some of the best we had.

Would highly recommend anyone visiting Yilan to come visit!

Amazing experience! We went tea picking and then roasted our own tea (that we got to bring back). Also learned a lot about how tea is grown, harvested and roasted. And how tea competitions run (this is a multiple award tea grower) And tried a few different teas (all amazing!!). You have to call one day in advance to arrange a visit. There is a NTD 250 charge per person (min four pp). Totally worth it for the experience. We ended up staying almost four hours chatting with the owner and learning about tea.

My friend and I (visiting from Singapore and Malaysia) had the most amazing time at the DIY tea-making experience. The owners are a lovely couple who treated us like family, serving us different types of tea and delicious tea-flavoured sweets/cookies/ice cream while we waited for our tea to be dried/baked. We were meant to stay only 1.5-2 hours and ended up staying for 4 hours. Highly recommend this experience - it felt authentic and wasn’t too touristy at all, thanks to the warm hospitality we received :)

We had such a wonderful time at the tea plantation. It was very educational and they really made the effort to educate us on how tea was grown, harvested and made into the tea we drink. The bosses really is dedicated and passionate about what they do. To end on a sweet note, we had a great tea tasting session paired with their snacks. It was a well-worth trip to Yilan. Highly recommended!

Super good experience. Came to buy tea but he let us taste so many different types of tea. Please end off your session with the ice cream!! Do note to come during April or Nov instead as it's tea season :)

Their red tea ice cream is unique and taste very nice. The boss and lady boss are nice and friendly.

What an absolute gem for all ages!! Definitely one of the highlights of the trip. We did the DIY Tea Picking and Tea Making Experience with 3 adults and 2 children (ages 7 and 9). It took about 2 hours and you need to make reservations in advance. The owners were so kind and patient with us, even though we don't speak Chinese they were able to use Google translate. We got to participate in the entire process, from dressing in hats to pick the tea leaves to heating and drying. We each got our own bags to take home. We would give it 10 stars if we could!

Had a great experience here. Had fun making our own DIY mochi. Wonderful hospitality, and excellent tea and tea products. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Yilan. (Note that you have to call in advance for the mochi making session as they freshly make the ingredients for it)

The tea garden owner and his wife are very passionate about tea. All of the teas they make with care have a great taste and aroma.
