Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area

Fairyland literally. Very beautiful and out of this world. Some areas accessible to tourists are without railings though, so young kids should be carefully watched.

This is a marvelous, wonderful and peaceful National recreation area. It might a bit noisy with a lot of tourists around but the nature area is overwhelming. The charming historical forest train takes you to another mysterious forest which is another peak of the trip. There are many footpaths in the whole area which you shall take two or three days to visit here. Just simply love it.

The old trails up in the mountains are definitely a must see. Enjoyed every minute of it even if there was too much fog.

I went to this place for travel on August 21, 2021. I still remember that the air was so crisp, and the view was magnificent. I enjoyed the moment when I took a stroll in the mountains. If you went to this place, I recommended that you have better indulge yourself in nature. You will find that everything is wonderful.

The scenery here is quite beautiful. Although there are many stairs,and you will be tired like a dog,once you see amazing scenery, everything is worth it!

Here sometimes is cold and you need to prepare a jacket.

The drive up took a while but the view is awesome up here. We got here at around 9am and managed to buy tickets for the train for 11:30am. The hike on the other side of the mountain was easy. Our 4 and 6 year olds were able to walk the two trails with us and we took many photos. Beat to come up here in the morning period because the afternoon does get rainy.

A beautiful place to visit. The photos I took was durning Christmas Day (December 25, 2020). It was pretty cold (around 7C). It was very foggy but was able to get a lot of cool photos. It must look really good durning the other seasons.

Don't forget your cold/winter clothes. It can get down to 8deg in the forest, even if it's 12 to 15 in the city.

What a beautiful place.
You can take many pictures from the view .
There are neither land pollution nor air pollution .
If the cloud is little a more,you could feel low temperature.
If not. The temperature is low,too.
So I want to introduce this place to more people.

The trails here are nice and well maintained. The bong bong train was a great experience for the kids.

A very well managed park, the trails are very well maintained, and it is a great pleasure to visit.

Beautiful Scenery, Fresh Air, Good Atmosphere

Most people do a one day trip from Yilan but this temperate forests is worth staying over night to experience its tranquility.
