A bit trippy (pun intended) but still fun! There’s not much else to do in the area though...

Also, I think it should be called 3D Painted Stairs - not Ladder.

The coloured and long stair is a part of community rebuilding plan. many beautiful paintings on several buildings attract lots of tourists. Can't miss it.

→在山城小鎮“三義”，有一座3D彩繪階梯﹔那是衡量好每個梯階之間的高度與間隔，遠逺望過去它是傾斜向上的一幅彩繪圖，走近一看，它就是國小校門下的一座多層級階梯。
﹡你只要沿著『好客走廊』指標而行，設立在山坡上社區裡，彎曲交錯的小巷，羅列許多屋宇，是有古趣的﹗

→屋簷牆壁或圍牆上，可見到繪製精美的圖案，如臺灣藍鵲、貓、白鷺鷥、狗、達摩、夜鷺等，及以彩石貼構而成的農民耕作生活的歷史記錄。

→三義“水美木雕街”是到三義必逛的商區，也許不是假日到那裡逛，並沒有什麼人潮，販賣木雕的小商店，你只要一進入商店，店主亦步亦趨會讓參觀者渾身不自在，會造成匆促而出，或者乾脆只在商店街前人行步道上只作window-shopping，且有些商店是不準拍照的，就以有限的街景照片跟朋友們分享囉。

→交通：去三義最好的公共交通工具是搭乘【鐵路區間車】，走出火車站，左轉尖峰公路（台13線公路）直行，會經過火炎山生態教育館、三義郵局等，﹡在第二個紅綠燈右轉直行，遠遠就可見到終點的“3D彩繪階梯”，繞完“好客走廊”再回到“尖峰公路”右轉，直接沿著斜坡路面一路往上直行就可抵達“水美木雕街”，需時約四十分鐘。

﹡在木雕街上，接近“臺灣藝術博物館”左側一轉角處，設有“公共洗手間”﹔
當然“臺灣藝術博物館”也有乾淨的洗手間。

﹡平日水美街上素食店沒營業，但有一家客家餐館–“參代堂”是有供應
“素食”餐飲。
