We truly enjoyed our stay here with their hot springs facilities, the spacious room (with your own tub), friendly staff and their buffets. Some reviewers had expressed their dissatisfaction with their food but apparently they have greatly improved their menu and ingredients (according to some guests we spoke to). We will definitely come back again!

Everything was perfect. Service was efficient and professional. Rita who managed my booking helped me get a very nice room, really special thanks to her for making my trip even more special. Dinner buffet was one of the best. Beautiful room and scenery, big bed! We will be back for sure!

Great onsen lodging in the region.
A word of caution for drivers coming down from Nanzhuang: it can get very foggy with visibility down to 10m.

Lovely place
The pools are great ... they have multiple temperatures from cold to very hot.
Staff was a little weird... maybe because I am a foreigner felt like they just kept their gaze on me the whole time ... expecting or waiting for me to do something wrong.. it was a bit uncomfortable.

Besides that I had a great time

Enjoyed the clean and huge space in the room, plus swimming pool, hot springs, spa, and free drinks as the public utilities (especially when the swimming pool is long enough). The breakfast was also nice, when there were several Hakka traditional dishes. The only issue was that the service for the dinner was not professional, while they served dishes with long waiting and without introducing, placed plates heavily, and forgot fruits.

We stayed here for one night and we had an amazing experience. We got a room with a private onsen which was just wonderful. Comfortable room, very well organized, from picking us up from the station to the location and back again, registration and breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and would highly.

Tranquil, comfortable, and relaxing.
A decent onsen resort deep in mountains while not difficult to access. Visitors can take the free coach (only 40-min ride) arranged by the resort from high speed railway Miaoli station.

It is recommended to spend a night or two here to enjoy the scenic view and onsen facilities. Food might not be the highlight but it does not affect the experience much since the staff are friendly, environment is great, and interior design is comfy and caters to guests’ needs.

Located deep within TaiAn valley. Modern architecture and rooms. The service is fine, not extremely top notch in Taiwan's standard, but good enough to beat the US. The outdoor pools and hot springs are well maintained. It's a luxurious experience to enjoy the valley by myself submerged in hot spring pool at 8am in the morning. The bathrooms are spacious, perfect for couples. The sunset in the valley makes the stay extremely worthwhile. Even better is that there is a 7-eleven at a 5 minute walking distance. The dinner and breakfast are all buffet style, a good dining experience. My family think the fruits they provided are superb. This place may seem a bit pricey, but definitely worth every penny spent.

Came here for a company retreat. The views are beautiful and the decors are natural elements. The bedroom design is very unique and the beddings are very comfortable. I enjoyed the hot springs very much and the public bath house is really nice because it’s open air and you don’t feel suffocated. No other stores nearby so be prepared for a wilderness only stay.

The best Onsen resort in Taiwan, hiding in deep mountain with magnificent river view in Miaoli. A wonderful place to relax and spend time with your lovely family.

Very pretty, nice, good service hotel. The hot spring is very good for both indoor and outdoor. Room is fantastic. Our room is a 4 person room with own indoor spring room. Best to come during low peak periods n especially on weekdays. Breakfast provided which is not bad. Dinner wise have to book separately N it's set meal at twd 800 per person. We found that 4 person can share 3 sets which they allow. As the meal is quite big. Up to individual. But the food are really nice n yummy. Best to have own transport to come as it is very far from town area.

Beautiful, peaceful and worth all the money!
- wonderful, attentive staff. From helping us arrange taxi to pick us up from bus stop to helping us heat up our leftovers. Nothing was beneath them and they all were very eager to help us have to best stay possible.

- Room was very nicely designed. Private “wood” soaking hot tub & cold tub So nice for early morning in Room soaking before breakfast.
Open window for a lovely riverside view
Comfortable bed, nice teapot with oolong tea was a plus. Silk robes and balcony

- hotel amenities were all very clean and well organized. Men and women’s onsen facilities were very nice and spacious. The different temperature tubs were perfect. Late hours open til 10pm.
Free shuttle to hsr station was helpful.
Breakfast had big selection of local and western foods. Good quality.

- location was in a remote part of the country but surrounded by beauty, nature and nice hikes.
- nice local aboriginal restaurant across the bridge.

- only thing I would say could be improved is lack of heating in rooms or common areas.

I would definitely come back and stay. It was highlight of my 2 weeks in taiwan.

Thank you onsen papawaqua!

Well designed hotel with cozy beds and hot spring. They also provide Wii for intertainment cuz not so much to do at night😂. Spotted wild life animal near by the hotel which is surprising. Food needs improvement though. Overall, nice place to stay if having enough budget .

Lovely hot spring but word of advice ask for rooms with window, there are some rooms without window, then you'll miss out on all the pretty views
