Remains of Longteng Bridge

The old railway bridge that has been preserved as tourist spot to commemorate its contribution to the history of railway. Can visit the site by car or by participating on their railway tour.

For first time visitor would be nice to see. Came on a self operating train ride. Stop for about 15-30min. Along the way there're ppl selling peanuts, dried fruits etc. The fruits ice cream is worth trying

Great sightseeing place.
The broken bridge was built for railroad use, an earthquake in 1935 destroyed the it. We came here years ago when it was just a sight to see.
Now the city has made it into a wonderful attraction with convenient parking and cafes around the area. There is even a walking trail to get really close to the bridge.

It was a perfect day to visit the broken bridge. The weather was perfect and the sky was incredibly blue. This is a beautiful place to learn about some local history and enjoy the lovely scenery. There are also plenty of great Hakka snacks and other foods in the area to try.

The bridge area is currently undergoing some repairs, so as of now the view will not be good.. 😔 but for everyones safety, guess we just have to wait until they've completed the works..

Meanwhile, you can go on the upper part and hop on the old mountain line rail train.. these are small rail train that will take you on a short journey in this old line.. tour is about 90mins, but depends on your station of origin..

Verily unique broken bridge caused by earthquake at year 1935, definitely worth visiting. There is a trail next to this hysterical site with amazing view. Need to book 1.5 months in advanced.

Historical story and a good hiking place. Now it is under little construction at North part but you can take a photo. There is parking fee at 50 dollar.

People that love adventure but not too much trill can try the ride.

There is 3 route in this train station. Take the longest one to have the best experience. Remember to book ticket in advance too.

Incredible architecture. Not mentioned that there also have some fun activities you can do. It’s definitely a good place to visit.

Its a quiet places . You can see the broken bridge and you can buy a ticket to try on the old version train .

Also you can visit the strawbery garden .
If you have time you can camping 🏕 here .

1 more thing. There is a nice coffee ☕ shop here .

It’s a fantastic place to visit. The bridge was built over 100 years ago. The way to build the bridge was really advanced that time. The history of the bridge is close to the developement of this area, so you can see some story behind the place. I highly recommand this place, not only because its scenery, but also the story behind.

Looks pretty cool and has some local establishments nearby and places to eat and exercise.

Lots to do in this area, avoid peak times as it can get very congested to park or navigate the traditional stores and streets in the area, others really fun

You can reach it with scooter or car, or by the red famous train.

Free to see it by your own transportation.

Long Teng is beautiful - love the train ride over - heard there are multiple route A, b, C - so make sure you reserve or call ahead to get tickets.. kids under 95cm is a no go. Love the mountain and sceneries .. a must go in miaoli - would do it again - near this spot - is another - nice garden and beautiful cottage/restaurant called green garden or something within 4-7 minutes down the main road! Also recommended for a short drop by for coffee and tea!
