It makes it very convenient for travelers to get around Taipei and the rest of Taiwan. The station is clean, efficient, easy to navigate, and offers clear English translations for any foreigners who may need assistance.

Overall, it's an excellent station with great amenities that is highly recommended, and likely a place you'll encounter, when traveling to Taipei. Also connects to Taipei Underground City Mall!

Got a very impressive experience from travelling by airtport express MRT, Tamsui-Xinyi line and Bannan line. A very good station with a very good facilities 👍🏻

Very neat and cozy place. People are very helpful and the way finding is good but can be improved.

I took the high speed train with my mom from Taipei to Kaohsiung. We bought the train voucher from Klook and redemption at the station was a breeze. There were plenty of luggage storage lockers at the station and the instructions are available in multiple languages on the touchscreen. We also bought the iconic train bento before getting on the train - they had chicken and pork. It was a nice meal and just enough for one person. The presentation was nice and has the cute Taiwan sunbear on the packaging.

There are a few buildings connecting to each other. You do need to walk a distance to go for the Tao Yuan Metro station AirPort Express and transit. Super convenient.

This is where the red and blue line, the high speed rail and the airport link meet. The airport link is around 5-10 minutes by foot from the rest, connected through an underground tunnel. The station also has a breeze mall with many restaurants and shopping opportunities. The airport link has the express (36 min from the airport to Taipei main station) and the commuter line (stops at all the stations in between the airport and the Taipei main station). The airport link is also currently the only MRT that allows you to tap in and out with you credit/debit card which means you don’t need to buy a ticket.

Boarded from Taoyuan International Airport. Nice and clean MRT station. The outside view is astonishing while passing by New Taipei Metropolitan Park. Do not forget to visit their underground street, 台北地下街 as well !

Visited in mid-2018 (Airport Line sector only)

I believe this is the only line in the Taipei Metro that has express service that stops only at major stations. The trip with the express service took only half an hour to get to the end of the line either way, which was a lot faster than the regular service. The platform itself is located deep underground, so it does take a while to get from the ground level and vice versa.

At the time of my visit, the Airport Line sector seemed to be really lacking of shops and outlets. If felt too sterile for a line that is supposedly well-used. Perhaps back then it was just recently opened, thus these spaces weren't occupied yet and only after then it becomes as lively as the rest of the entire station.

Huge place, but there are info kiosks if you feel overwhelmed, they can direct you to metro lines you need to take. You can kill time here as there are a lot of food kiosks and restos as well as shopping stalls selling all kind of stuffs before you ride the train going to Taiwan international airport.

This station is the hub of rail-based transportation for Taipei city. Very easy to reach because it is located in the middle area of ​​the city. This station is the center of the high-speed rail network, inter-city trains, and the MRT. In addition, this station is also connected to the intercity bus terminal and the Taipei city bus network.

The station is very spacious with the center in the main hall on the with and civic boulevard. There are various kinds of shops, restaurants, retail stores, bakeries, cafes, and connections to several malls in the vicinity. Despite being a very busy station, the available signage is very helpful for visitors.

Is it possible to get everything you need at a train station? Because I felt like I had easy access to transportation, food, gifts, groceries, and apparel here. It's connected to the underground mall. Wow! I arrived here via the Express train from the airport which was a 37 minute ride away.

This place is a center of Taipei city. Most of the line are connected to this station. The building itself looks old one but the inside is modern and you can find great food, dining, drinks and souvenirs here! You would come here from airport on MRT. And it’s the entrance to get to the airport by train. There are a bunch of lines and huge under ground floor so you will lose your way. But don’t worry you can ask anybody. Everybody is so kind! It is a clean place so make your journey wonderful!! Enjoy!!!

Well built central station in the city. Access to local subways, high speed rail, airport MRT and bus station. Good stalls selling local foods and gifts on level 1.

Taipei Main Station is a wonderful station. This is as it includes 2 suburban metro lines, one high speed rail line as well as many railway lines. There are also a lot of retail, restaurants as well as amenities. Additionally, there are department stores nearby as well. Therefore, Taipei Main Station is one of the best train stations in the world.

The Airport mrt station at Taipei main station is nearer to the beimen mrt station. If you are travelling from Ximending, take the greenline mrt and get down at the beimen station. It is much nearer then taking the blue line from Ximending. The blueline from Ximending will stop at the main station, which is further.
There are two types of mrt to the airport. Do take note, there are two types mrt to airport, express and normal. The express mrt is purple in colour. The first time, I rushed into a normal train, it takes longer time. So look carefully before you get on it. Overall very convenient and cheap ntd150/person one-way. Find yourself a seat, it takes about 45 minutes. If the train is full, wait for the next train if you are not in a hurry.
