National Museum of Natural Science

This museum is a place worth visiting in Taichung. There are many games in many rooms to help children better understand nature. Museum tickets are quite cheap, it will take half a day to visit this place. Well worth visiting.

The museum is a must visit place if you have small children. There are automatic ticket machine in all the entrances so it's very convenient to purchase the tickets. The entrance fee is just NT$50 for kids and NT$100 for adult andyou can visit 3 exhibition halls. Besides, you just have to pay NT$20 for the 5-floor Science Center which is also worth to visit too. We spent 3 hours here, but did not have enough time to experience the Space Theater and to see movies. For my son, the first exhibition hall which is about dinosaurs is the most interesting one.

This a good place to burn your time effectively as there are so many exhibitions hall to visit! If you are bored of Taichung, this will be a good place, for dating too. Many to see and many photos to take. Ticket price are at NTD100, elderly and disabled are free!

Visited the Museum and Science Centre which costed 100 and 20 TWD respectively. Both places are super worth it and you could spend the whole day just for each location.

The science centre has four levels of exhibitions. It contains many interactive games that are suitable for all ages.

Do note that the exhibitions are mainly in Chinese.

We booked through Klook app. The place is very good, we did not even noticed that we were exploribg for 2 hours and we did jot even visited the other sections yet. Very informative and a lot of interactions from the exhibits.

Great place to visit with kids of all ages. You can easily spend half a day or more here.
One adult ticket to see all of the exhibits costs 100 NTD.
Parking in the area is a lottery and not cheap. The museum has its own parking lot but the waiting time is very long on weekends. We ended up parking 1 km away from the location.

General Exhibition Entrance is only $100. Tickets are at an affordable range. There is also a storage room where u can temporarily put your heavy belongings into the locker for free.

Mac Donalds at level 2.

This place is huge with an extensive range of exhibit. You can spend the whole day there if you really look through all their exhibits. Worth the money paid. A lot of rare exhibits like fossil, ancient items, etc

it was a great experience. i had a lot of fun here. I haven’t explored it all, will be coming back to see more.

Great place for family to hang around...entry price 100nt is ok...5floors of exhibits...cold inside. Lot of students around but place is very big jus the mac at the science center will b packed by the students so go to other place to eat ( lots around)

A must visit in Taichung. So many different exhibits to explore, and things for all ages to enjoy.

If you want to learn or are interested in science. This is a great place to visit especially with children. The place was huge and there are so many exhibition halls to visit. However, not all displays have a translation so be prepared with either a google translate app or a QR scanner (for some exhibits).

Overall I think its worth a visit. Entrance fee is reasonable considering how many halls you get to view.

A gigantic museum that showcases marine life, animals, culture, agriculture, religion etc. You can even spend up till 1 full day here and view everything at a leisurely pace. An educational place to bring your children.

Be warned!! Not a problem with this museum but there are alot of tiny black mosquitoes at the bus stop outside of this museum (bus stop faces the botanical garden which is opposite). Waiting at this bus stop, you will be a target of the mosquitoes which gives nasty bites. Be warned!

A place for kids to interactively learn and experience natural science and historical science. For curious student one day would not sufficient to explore entire museum. Suitable for kids to elders. Centre of attraction for kids is dinosaurs hall.

Spacious museum great for kids. Many things to see such as dinosaur exhibitions to botanical gardens. Special exhibitions throughout the year, look the info on their webpage.

Massive museum with many different exhibits. Unfortunately, there's a bit of inconsistency in terms of the details, where some exhibits have a write-up in English and others don't. It's a bit of a shame since I am once again reminded of my inadequate ability to speak my mother tongue, so that's on me, but for other guests who might not speak any Chinese at all, the English details would be very much needed. Still really enjoyed just strolling around and looking at all the museum had to offer. Recommend you come during the weekday, probably can avoid the crowds with their children in tow, the children can get abit noisy (they are children after all, and the parents are generally quite considerate, doing the best they can already)

There's also a McDonald's on the 2nd floor where you can have a quick bite before continuing to explore the museum.

This is a very well thought of and maintained museum. It is also extremely huge. Many concurrent exhibitions going on. Currently there is a huge coffee machine (from roasting to brewing) going on. Very educational and fun! It is HUGE! Definitely can spend 1 to 2 days there. We only had 4 hours and it was a fun 4 hours!

Suggest to buy the combined exhibitions ticket. One ticket can cover all the multiple exhibitions.
