Vermicelli starched soup with intestines and oysters was good. Plenty of other foods to try here as well but I recommend not to visit too early. Visit after 4pm to make sure all the stalls are open.

Perhaps a night market popular with locals and not tourist. The selection of food are more home-fared than the usual tourist-ridden markets. I love the array of offerings, and some of the foodstalls actually serve food that tasted better than any of the other night market around.

Might be difficult for someone who doesn’t speak a smatter of Mandarin because there are no English menus to be found. But if you really want it, there’s always a way- by pointing out to what others’s are eating. 🤪

Great hidden market just behind the main street. If you go straight in from the bus stop and hit the jade shop at the top of the T where you can't go straight anymore, that's where you find the best deals on jade with Sofi.

Chaotic atmosphere, a great variety of dishes: whether meat, fish or vegetables, fruit - all in different shape and sizes, savoury or sweet. One can even find the infamous "stinky tofu" and the just as renowned durian. However, I would recommend the dumplings and the noodle dishes!

The is the cutest day/night market ever. The food stalls aren’t repetitive and you can find all kinds of Taiwanese foods here.
