In all honesty this is the best restaurant, with extraordinary owners, who give off the friendliest vibes I've ever experienced!

Let's talk food first. I've been honored to try the Montreal style Falafel sandwich with a side dish of roasted potatoes and homemade mayonnaise sauce.
Coming from a huge foody who enjoys eating different cuisines, this by far, was the best in not only Puli, but Taiwan.
The flavor, the texture, the high-quality ingredients, the hit of nostalgia..... Words just cannot even describe.
I could just go on and on about this but to make it short: it tastes as if my own mother made it for me.... Out of love.

The service is beyond 5 stars. I thought Taiwan had the BEST customer service, but oh wow the amazing owners here do not just welcome you to their restaurant, they treat you like family! Always concerned and caring for their family members.

Attentive service, welcoming staff and DELICIOUS food including coffee and desserts. Carrot soup hot and fresh, Shepherd's pie perfect with chutney and the zucchini cake so moist and exquisite! The coffee was so rich and satisfying too! The chef is humble and willing to share his cooking skills. We want to go back again for more of the fresh and homemade food! The whole staff couldn't be nicer!

Reserved only restaurant. provides high quality authentic western food. If you want to taste real western food, here is the best place. They change different main dishes occasionally depends on what ingredients are available. Customer can choose from 3 different main dishes to order a la carte or set menu (3 course). We tried pate chinos and meatball penne today, it’s just the flavour I had while in Europe.
The owners are very friendly and genuine. We really enjoyed the time here!

The setting is nice and small. Reservations are required. The food is excellent. It is western cuisine, so it is quite eclectic, which keeps it interesting.

The food at this place is absolutely made with love and care using all fresh ingredients. Authentic Western style flavors and options for both vegetarians and meat eaters. The owners are wonderful people: friendly and great company. The restaurant is spotless, and even has a wee outside dining area out the front. We live in Taichung, and it's completely worth the drive to come here just for the evening, although it's even nicer if you make a trip of it and stay one night in Puli, too!

My partner and I had an amazing dinner experience here. Just make sure to have a reservation otherwise you’re not guaranteed a place. Pierre the owner is very nice and you can tell that the food is actually fresh and healthy. This place was the highlight of our day!

There is Western food, then there is the food your grandma makes. This is the latter. So wonderful to find a place like this in Taiwan. Chef Pierre is very genuine and passionate about his food, refusing to compromise on anything. Highly, highly recommend: will come back each time I'm in Puli for the changing menu and hospitality. If you like food adventures and authentic home cooking, this is the place.

Great place! The chicken enchiladas are amazing! I have always gotten great food and great service here. The chef, Pierre, and his wife, Silvie, are a delight. I love that they only use fresh organic ingredients. This place does not disappoint!

Delicious high quality western food that tastes like it was homemade. Excellent vegan and vegetarian offerings. The owner is a French Canadian and is very friendly. If you are a group of two or more you should message them on Facebook for a reservation as the restaurant is small and the food takes time to prepare. I had the vegetarian taco and the quesadilla, the taco was great and the salsa it came with was excellent.

Excellent, authentic, stupendously delicious food served in warm friendly environment. The boss is super friendly and truly passionate about his craft. I had the pasta special and it was terrific, but the poutine stole the show. I come back every time I’m near Sun Moon Lake.

Great food. Amazing people. Definitely order the dessert pies! They are fantastic. Also, they can ship the pies anywhere in Taiwan if you happen to live here. If you’re visiting Puli be sure to give them a call and make a reservation!

Great place, we loved being able to get a great quality Western meal for a fair price. The burger is crazy good, the Sheppard's pie is a tasty comfort food on a cold night and the sugar pie is a great way to finish it off.

The owner is also a really great guy, even if he is a Haha fan ;)

My go to place in Puli (I don't live there but went there for work many times) for a good Western meal. Friendly owners, reliable food, clean, fair prices. It is only a small place and Puli is a tourist town so be a little patient if they are busy (it will not be better elsewhere, I know, I also worked restaurant in tourist place for 10 years). The owners can speak English, Chinese, French and Taiwanese (well at least one of them for these languages). 好吃的西式餐廳。價錢合理，東西好吃，老闆與老闆娘都非常親切。我之前常常為了公司的事情從高雄跑埔里所以去了很多那邊餐廳。這是我最推薦的。

Excellent food, good prices for quality well made delicious food. Pierre is very nice and very helpful. Have only tried a few of the takeout items, because that is all we can get right now, but once we can dine in, we will be headed there to try more.

What a rare gem! Exquisite, homestyle French Canadian cuisine with a feel of "grandma's kitchen"! The hosts are talented creators of natural, preservative free, masterpieces that melt in your mouth with every bite. Well priced and easy to find in the heart of Puli! I would definitely recommend this stunning restaurant to anyone who appreciates high quality, fresh, natural food! Well done Pierre and Sylvie!

Great food and pleasant atmosphere. Food was wonderful, the shephard's pie was delightful as were both of the dessert offerings. If you are in Puli don't miss your chance to stop here and grab a meal (but get a reservation first)!

We had great time here last Saturday. I was sorry for changing time because of my brother’s graduation. The owner was nice and supplied free beer to celebrate graduation of my brother. We enjoyed the delicious food and the wonderful moment here so mush. I wish I had known Montréal Style Restaurant earlier.

Great French and Western style food! The carrot soup and Quesadila were amazing. The Quesadila, tortilla chips and salsa dish in particular was possibly the best I've had outside of America. All fresh ingredients, everything is hand made - no processed food or microwaves.

The owner, from Montréal, is incredibly friendly. After eating we were talking for about 30 minutes, regrettably I had to cut the conversation short because I had to take my bus.
