York Design Hotel

No window and basement floor but relatively cheap. It was totally okay to me as I needed this space to take a test. I would honestly stay at this one if I travel around alone.

Location was near Taipei Main Station: accessible from MRT.

The room was really clean and the staffs were friendly. Shower place was also clean. Only bad point was I had to hear the sound of alarm from outside(probably from the room next to me).

Provided- 2 towels, tooth brush+paste, shampoo, body wash

Location is really great as it nearby Taipei main station. The surrounding neighborhoods are mini local restaurants and markets which make convenient during my stay there. Closed to MRT that you can access to anywhere from here. I love the room as it’s cute, minimalist and cozy bed. I booked for a private room with shared bathroom. Their service is great and staff are very helpful as I need to leave for visit other provinces they allows me to keep the luggage with them at the counter for free over a night or two if you come back and stay at their place. The shared bathroom is so so, full equipped and have the washing machine that you can pay to us.

room is very cozy and clean, almost every corner was well cleaned! receptionist was nice. location is good, you can find convenience stores like family mart, watsons, uniqlo, and other restaurants near the hotel. it's looked safe for solo trip as there's a lot of people coming towards this direction (taipei main station), you can even queue at the breakfast shop to try local food. definitely will come again!

The place is clean and cosy, I find it just right for one person or a couple. The internet works great. I love the location - it's a famous tuition district with a lot of eateries. Just walk straight to exit z2 to the metro. I had to mention that the good looking front desk gentleman is polite and approachable. Will come back again

Basement private room is basically for people who only want to spend hostel bund fee but somehow prefer not to do social during a short stay.

Perfect price and good value for short stay. I was just looking for a place that is clean and private for me to spend layovers time in Taipei and it’s perfect. Shower room is extremely clean. Staff is friendly. Location is perfect(right by Taipei station)

Many people mentioned about noise from other room and public area, need to say it’s quite true, earplug is needed if you’re a light sleeper. The bed is comfortable as well. I might not stay here for few day but if next time I need to layover in Taipei, I ‘ll still come here.

It is cosy & self sufficient though the room size is small! Staff is helpful with our query and the aisle are brightly lit. Providing a hot/warm/cold dispenser is helpful to the guests. Will recommend to my friends to.come and stay here! Keep up the maintenance of this place and it will draw many to stay. Conveniently located 5min walk from underground Taipei Main Station!!

Location: Very close to the Taipei main station (5mins) and also close to shops.

Food: there are many food options along the street.

Hotel service: Friendly and spoke English very well.

Hotel room: mine was a single room, clean and had its own bathroom.

Cleaning service: good

Price wise: Fair

Cons: the WiFi acted up a few times and the rooms are not sound proof, so it was abit difficult to get some proper rest at night as you can hear people talking and giggling etc on other rooms.

But still a very nice place for short trips.

I stayed there one night in a double bed room without window. The room is clean and quite spacious. The room design is cool and it's located in a very convenience area.

The room is not that big like pics but enough, location is great. But bathroom is a little tiny, toilet almost near the shower cabin, and the soundproofing level is not really well, TV is broken.

The hotel is located in a great location near the Taipei Main Station. The neighborhood is lively with a lot of local eateries, coffee shops and milk tea places. The hotel is very clean, the staff are nice and friendly, and the rooms are nice.

I really like this hotel becuase it’s very near Taipei main station that we can contribute to other places and also near by ximending shopping center just 15 mins walk. There are many nice resturants nearby the hotel and many nice food to eat 😀. The room is small but nice for 1 person as the private that share bath and restroom. There are small kitchen and cute living to talk with other people. It’s so nice and I love it ☺

Affordable and key location. Good for a night.

Functional, clean and modern hotel. All the sockets even their hooks are just in the right places. This hotel is my top of mind while staying in Taipei.
