Courtyard by Marriott Taipei Downtown

After staying in dozens of Marriott Courtyards in the USA I was not prepared for how much higher the bar is for service and facilities in Taiwan! The hotel was beautiful, modern, and well-appointed. The room was very comfortable with a great AC system and was really quiet throughout my whole stay. The staff set the standard for exemplary service and were of great help to me during check-in, during my stay, at the daily breakfast, and in the executive lounge. The concierge agent Jason was also very helpful with inquiries I had throughout my say.

The buffet breakfast was truly impressive and really blows any included hotel breakfast I've had out of the water. The executive lounge also had great service and the 2 hour happy hour included drinks and enough food to make a full dinner out of it if I chose to.

I am struggling to come up with any negatives for this hotel and it would certainly be my first choice for any future visits (personal or business) to Taipei.

First time stay in this hotel. It was a great experience. My room was upgraded to the top floor with a view of 101 tower, which is always great with stunning view. The bathtub in the bathroom was always bonus point, especially I do enjoyed this tub. All the staff members was super friendly and helpful, it always makes you felt great. The breakfast was nice, with all kind of the variety which is good for depending on my mood what I feel like for the moment. For sure will be back!

All staff I met from reception, concierge to house keeping is friendly and helpful.

The room is clean, look new and well maintained, it comes with lots of USB port near the bedside, sofa and table corners, the power plug support various counties standard which is very convenient for travellers.

The gym is well equipped with wide range of cardio and weight training equipments.

The response from the concierge team is really prompt and they either deliver package on the counter using robot or human immediately upon confirmation that I’m in the room.

Will definitely be back to the hotel on my next visit to Taipei, and hopefully this time round I will be able to get a double bed room.

Housekeeping is one of the services that we rarely appreciate unless something goes wrong. But at Courtyard, I was superbly impressed by Black’s attention to detail and work ethics. How often do you get someone who tidies your room up, to the point that everything is arranged in one direction?

It shows strongly on the pride Black takes at the work that was done, and I truly had to give kudos to that.

Other than that, the location is quite central and convenient to go around, but truly amazed by the service provided. Keep it up Black!

Room size is on the small side but comfy bed. I really like the long sofa by the window and the pretty sunset view. Appreciate there’s also drip coffee option in the room. Loads of good breakfast places nearby too.

Feels new and clean. The lobby large and inviting. There is a restaurant on the first floor and if you are lucky access to free snacks and food on the fourteenth floor. Quite centrally located, use your Marriott bonvoy points for best value.

The professional staff exceeded expectations. I was given a high-floor room with an amazing 101 view. The room was larger than expected and exceptionally clean.

Stayed there two months ago. I had stayed at Courtyard in different countries. This one is definitely more upscale than most. The hotel people were very nice and professional. The executive lounge had nice food in evening. Breakfast was amazing. I don't know if the location is considered central but it is really convenient to go to places either by metro or by a short taxi ride.

Wow! This is a great hotel. The customer service was amazing from the moment I walked in to the minute I left. The breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. Really, really great!

Staying here for 7 nights with my husband and my parents to celebrate my mom and my birthdays. What a lovely surprise to walk into the hotel rooms to find birthdays cakes - thank you!
It's our first time visiting Taiwan, and we don't speak Chinese. It's been challenging to search for places on Google and to communicate. Leaving this review to thank Ms. Mona at Concierge, who helped us late at night to plan our trip. She was attentive, patient and resourceful, and we can't thank her enough. Thank you!

My second time here and the service is superb. They are always ready and standby when you arrive or depart the hotel. All the staff are super helpful. Great housekeeping service. The executive lounge is decent and the variety of food provided in the HH is better than expected.

hotel was built around 2018 before pandemic hits so it's practically a brand new hotel. view was decent and best part was its location and price!

Located close to the heart of the city, this hotel is conveniently located. It is around 7-9 minutes walk from Xingtian Temple Station on the Orange line.
The hotel is from 14th floor to 20th floor of this building, rest are offices that has separate access.
Hotel is very clean and room are nicely decorated.

Overall great experience for mariott courtyard property.

Service: changed my room from twin beds to king and upgraded me to top floor. Stayed for Sunday and Monday nights as a platinum member. They have a robot that delivers extra things you need which is very cool and smart for the hotel.

Rooms: modern, clean and comfortable which includes a bathtub and bidet. Shower had hose and overhead options.

Food: breakfast had different items everyday ranging from Taiwan to western with both eggs and noodle soup station. They offered to go cups in case you wanted coffee on the go as well.

Lounge: didn’t get to explore because of time but checked it out as it was decently spaces and had a buffet bar. I believe 6-8pm was happy hour

The rooms are very modern and well set up. The rooms have very nice tiled bathrooms, with both shower and bathtub. It also has a smart toilet. There's also two closets and a lot of counter space to put your belongings. There's also a nice long couch in the room.

Check in was pretty nice. The staff member came and grabbed my bags immediately out of the taxi I arrived in. They all spoke pretty perfect English. They're also very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable after a long stressful trip. I came here for business and I'll probably book this hotel regularly.

Really the concierge team did a fantastic job to my many unreasonable requests over my long stay here. Thank you guys, you were really great.

Hotel with great location and excellent service. Went over to meet a friend but unfortunately the sole of my shoes came off,spoke to the concierge and 2 maintenance guys came to repair my shoes on the spot by gluing and helping to make my day easier. Much appreciated for the hospitality rendered even though I am not the hotel guest. Kudos to the hotel and their well trained staff.

Staff is fantastic. Rooms are large and pleasant. Location is great. In my top 5 hotels I've stayed at and I have stayed at many Marriotts over the years.

The room is good. It is clean and feels new.

It's too bad that the size of the room is very small. We added an extra bed, and it was placed in between the bed and the tv console. It was so small that you have to walk sideways.

The location is great. It is very close to places to eat.

Spacious room, good view, good breakfast. Location is alright, need about 10 min walk to the nearest metro station.
