Awesome barber, the girl barber with the cool tattoos who works there is very good, great service and she knows how to shave and do beard line ups properly. 10/10 experience.

The place is very chill, there's a couple of cool cats that hang around. Really enjoyed my hair cut, be sure to book in advance though they are pretty booked up it seems.

The 60’s vibe here never gets old. I enjoy every minute I spend in here. The barbers, or more appropriately, the stylists are talented and super friendly.
One grand gets me a cool haircut, a nice shave and a wee bit massage.

They can speak English and the quality of the attention, haircuts, ambience is 10/10. Tried many other barbers and this one is the best. It’s like entering a barbershop in the 50s. Lovely place.

I'm an average white guy with unruly, wavy, salt and pepper hair and I think Henry really nailed the perfect haircut for me! I just shown him some pictures as a base reference of what I had in mind, but I think he really interpreted creatively what would look good on me! I'm very happy with the results. Didn't expect the extra hot towel and massage, a plus. Make sure you call for a reservation. Before coming I read the reviews and maybe some may be surprised that you don't face the mirror, or that you need to lean forward for the hair wash. But to be honest it didn't bother me at all considering the excellent results, and the very friendly people, it added to wow effect. 100% would come back.

A stylish haircut studio tucked away in a pleasant Taipei neighborhood. The interior is decorated with various antique memorabilia and as promised a cute cat wanders around during your visit.

The staff are very friendly and provide meticulous service, carefully attending to every detail at an affordable price.

I hope my hair will grow quickly again, so I can return here before too long.

Came in for a quick trim, ended up getting the best haircut I've ever had, as well as an amazing shave, and massage, all for way less than I would have ever expected.

10/10 and will for sure be back next time I'm in town

Quaint Barbershop in a narrow alleyway, easily accessible via MRT. The shop’s decor is lined with 80’s & 90’s nostalgia.

The shop’s manager is the resident cat, super friendly and may select a random client to cuddle with while they are waiting for a Barber.

The Barbers are detail oriented and have passion for their craft; the shop is clean and service is definitely two thumbs up.

Ask for Henry should you visit the shop and make your appointments early.

There are barber shops with more reviews but I decided to come here instead. I’m glad I did! I asked for a skin fade and it was perfect! The shop has a very nice atmosphere. They can understand English and are foreigner friendly. Make sure you book an appointment as with most places in Taipei. Very professional shop! I will come back the next time I’m in town.

The best spot to get a nice cut and shave. Henry is awesome and the place is chill and relaxing. Every time I'm in Taipei I come to the coolcats.

Coming from the UK with a beard I was a little nervous but it was an amazing experience. One of the guys spoke flawless English so was able to translate what I wanted. The haircut and beard trim was better than my overpriced, trendy barber in London. The massage and hot towels were a bonus. I don't think i've had that level of care and attention before and the price was extremely good.

The shop itself was really well decorated and cared for and the music they were playing was great. I want to move to Taipei and have them as my local barbers!

One of the coolest barbershops I’ve ever been to. I helped my friend to find this place and went with him and I have to say that I was very jealous. The haircut included lots of hot towels, amazing head and even arm massage on a very comfortable reclining chair. The haircut Was also great 😉

It’s really amazing. When traveling to Taipei from Hong Kong I’d like to try a haircut as # 1 there could be more options in here and # 2 I haven’t found a suitable barber after my familiar one left. I was proved to made the right decision. I did some research online while I called CoolCat in the last minutes - my bad due to personal reasons - fortunately it was Friday afternoon and I reckon quite a few people went to enjoy the happy hours and I grabbed a barber Henry. As shown in their ads, I sat with my back to the mirror yet Henry trimmed the hair so delicately. An hour later he brought a mirror finally. The cut was smart as I briefed him in a pretty simple way however he captured exactly the points. A surprising, pleasantly, ritual follows. Shaving is included in the programme, which is not the case in Hong Kong. Very old-school by using the soap foam and the straight razor. And a mini head massage afterwards perfected the procedure. A recommendation for all and hope I can revisit soon.

Got a skin fade which was excelent, staff was friendly too. Good vibes over all. Recommend!

So I have look long and hard for a great barber shop in Taiwan well I found one. You walk and it's a blast from the past and they take care of you for sure. I will be back many more times.

Can’t compare the to states, but they do a good job compare to rest of Taipei. They offer the whole service, the cut, the wash, the shaving for a thousand quai.

Good haircut for NT 1000. They also give some massage after the haircut.
