The food quality has been consistent over the years. I like Du Hsiao Yueh for the clean environment and good service, a restaurant where I could enjoy delicious Taiwanese food at affordable prices. Highly recommend the lu rou fan (braised pork rice), must order! Total bill was around USD40 for two pax.

The food here was amazing. We came here specifically for the noodles and it didn’t disappoint. All the dishes tasted wonderful and the price was reasonable. The sliced pork was very good. The fried cabbages with prawns was surprisingly good. Wish I could come back again and try more things on the menu. Definitely recommended.

Dishes are simple yet tasty. Staple portions are small enough to have with sides. Overall nice restaurant to try for tourist!

I personally love 度小月 a lot, they sell authentic Chinese dishes. This is a chain store that originally started from Taiwan Tainan. I like the taste of braised pork rice and noodles soup. Other dishes like fried oyster is so tasty. Every time I come back to Taiwan. I come here almost every time! Definitely recommended. The price is pretty decent. I’ll go again and you should too!

Great traditional Taiwanese food that hasn’t lost its unique flavor due to expansion. Usually order a standard noodle or rice noodle dish (NT50, dry or soup) or a braised bowl of rice (NT35) and then order other dishes to share with your group. Veggies are cooked with much flavor, pig feet (pork knuckles) are really tender and not too salty, deep fried tofu cubes are pleasantly light, and fried oysters are crispy and strong in seafood taste. I wasn’t as impressed with the fried pork chop though (thin slices and a bit soggy and too sweet). Braised egg also good as was the oyster omelette (not chewy like night market style). Good atmosphere at this location though not many tables when busy - expect a slight wait. Overall a must try for tourists though can be slightly expensive for locals.

One of the oldest TaiNan food establishment, I'm surprised that they have maintained the quality of food and price of their braised minced pork rice at NT35 each over so many years. With an additional braised duck egg n meat ball, at NT20 each, my whole meal was only NT110 or equivalent of 4.80SGD or 3.60USD. Amazing 🙏👍

Once again I have found delicious noodles in Taipei. This place is a little more pricey, but it makes sense since it is in a more affluent district. Plus, they have the AC bangin! Could not ask for more considering how hot it is outside.

Food still as good after these years. New location. No longer at 永康街 but still excellent!!!!

Pepper pork and chicken is my favourite! We love when it come with small portion so we can have many dishes.

A must go everytime we visit Taipei. Vegetables are fresh and delicious. The signature noodles never fail us.

This two dishes is a must try, although I have no idea what they’re called. By the way, this restaurant requires a minimum spending of 100 Taiwan dollar per person

Great authentic Taiwanese food, clean environment. The tables are large, but the seats are relatively small, so expect a cozy meal when in a group. Price is very reasonable; great place to bring friends visiting from overseas who want to try Taiwanese food, but don't necessarily want the full-on local experience.

This restaurant is EXCELLENT and located in the heart of the Da'an district. It serves up classic Taiwanese dishes with a focus on small plates for everyone to share. The gan mian (dry noodles) are excellent as is the rou zhao fan (meat covering rice) -- so fragrant, a little fatty, very excellent. The duck egg is worth adding to the carb of your choice, and the pricier tofu dish (I forget it's name) has such a soft, eggy, almost pudding-like texture that is hard to beat -- like an elevated agedashi tofu.

One of my favorite restaurants in Taipei. The food is good. The environment is nice and clean. Good and kindly service make me feel like home.
