Happy Taipei Hostel

Really enjoyed staying here. Free breakfast was great, the rooms are quite spacious with lockers, and the washrooms were clean.

Also, it's in an amazing location that's a quick walk (~5 minutes) to the MRT, and a 2 minute walk to one of the biggest night markets in Taipei, which we went to every night to grab some great food.

It's tucked away on a busy street with a lot of doors and garages so it's hard to find, but the owner will meet up with you at a nearby convenience store to take you to the hostel on your first day here.

For the price and location, I'd say definitely book with Happy Taipei!

I really enjoyed my stay here and would happily stay here again. It's an ideal location, right by the red line and right by Shilin Night Market. No complaints about the staff, the facility is well maintained and overall it's such an inviting environment for fellow travelers to meet and hang out. I highly recommend this hostel.

FACILITIES: The hostel has soo many cozy places/common areas and even balconies to sit down and relax, do some of your work inbetween or chat with your room mates. You can get free cold and hot water to refill, oat flakes, tea and sweets for free. It is super clean here.

STAFF: They are very friendly and try to help you with everything you need.

LOCATION: The hostel is a 3 min walk away from the next MRT station (Shilin) and right next to the night market that offers a big variety of food every day from 5 pm. Apart from that the market is a very good place to buy beautiful Asian clothes and accessories. Also there is plenty of different restaurants in a 1 minute walk from the hostel that leave you longing for more ^^ From the hostel you can easily explore Taipei and its surroundings. Right in front of your door: beautiful scenery, night market, restaurants and shopping, 2 stations away at Yuanshan MRT: Expo park, Fine Arts park, Yuanshan riverside park with beautiful Taiwanese vegetation, temples and buildings, sauna, theatre, 6 stations away: Beitou hot springs)

We have stayed here twice now and they are great! They have a great location next to the MRT! They work with you and know English very well! They have good beds, bathrooms and amenities!

Clean and tidy. Quiet. Good no smoking rules that are enforced. Toilet a bit claustrophobic though. Bed with curtains. Full during public holidays.

Nice hostel, close to the night markets and taipe 101 is just one bus away. Easy to find good food
