美花窯烤雞

This shop is the original "Ah dong roast chicken". I watched an old video of Ah dong on a TV channel recommending his chicken. I couldnt find anything on it on google but managed to get a Taiwanese friend to find this place. I asked the owner and he say they changed the name to meihua which is their mother's name after their father (ah dong) passed away. We went on a saturday night and was surprised to find the place empty. We were the only customer the whole time. We ordered the chicken, fried egg, steamed seabass and stir fried cabbage. The chicken was awesome and is the main highlight! They started the kiln and started roasting the chicken. It is roasted with fire wood. The skin was crispy and the chicken was stuffed with herbs so the juice they provide is super fragrant. It is the best roast chicken i have ever eaten! We went to another restaurant near our hotel in sun moon lake which sell the roast chicken and was terribly disappointed. This shows that not all shops are the same! I will definitely come back here again. I hope there will be more publicity of this place in the english media so their business will get better! Not sure if its the name change? But the other restaurants on our way down from cingjing farm is filled with customers. This place definitely deserves more credit!

This is a fantastic family owned restaurant. The chicken is delicious, and the service is amazing. I highly recommend their tofu dish, too. They have picture menus which were very helpful for us, too.

Everyone here was very nice, very friendly and easy to chat with. There are several pets to interact with, all quite friendly as well.

Such a high-quality restaurant. Pet friendly, our three dogs enjoyed table scraps ala my wife. Get the chicken!

Nice chicken and Fish

第一次嚐到加冬葉口味的窯烤雞。超有特色的。老闆很親切，還有說明先用中藥浸泡後，再用加了秘製香料的加冬葉，塞入雞的腹內，之後再用龍眼樹高溫窯烤。所以雞肉本身是有鹹味，不乾柴⋯⋯還有加冬的香氣，加上火候控制得宜，雞皮焦香又脆口。大推薦👍👍就在仁愛國中對面很好找。

兩個人而已所以就叫一份雙人餐(有隻烤全雞)
主菜的烤雞味道不錯，尤其是外皮又有油有香，肉質也軟嫩。一個字，讚。
附餐的高山高麗菜就普普。
另一份煎蛋味道不錯。
筍湯沒什麼調味，但喝起來很清爽。
東西好吃，又能嚕貓，超過100分！

很推薦來這邊吃甕窯雞，一整隻雞會附上它滴出來的雞油，肉質也很嫩不乾。另外店家為了大家能方便播雞肉，會附防燙的厚手套🧤和手扒雞的塑膠手套。

雙人套餐1000元算便宜，有菜、有蛋、有湯、有一整隻🐔，雞油亮好吃，也不柴，👍

2大2小吃雙人套餐剛好，烤雞好好吃，小孩很喜歡，在下雨天吃烤雞喝熱湯，舒服。
老闆很親切，吃飽要走了，還說路上小心喔～

窯烤雞好好吃，炒水蓮也很好吃，其他也都不錯大力推薦。
