Sushi Jubei

Decent sushi, among the best you can find in Taipei. The chef was friendly but didn't insist on talking to you if you didn't want that. They have sets of NT$3000, 4000, or 5000. We had the $4000 set. Very nice.

Good matchup of flavours in set menu;
Like the applicants of different vinegar, not heavy (dark) grain base as it tend to covering the origin of the food flavor;

Excellent. Had the good luck of getting a last minute reservation in today, and we were probably the only diners for the first 30 minutes, which was a great experience. The owner/master sushi chef is very attentive to detail, always a good sign. Flavors + textures were top notch. Dishes ware wonderful, with everything seasoned just right. The rice definitely showed care, not densely packed, good temperature with a good smooth vinegar.

Even though the shop is in a small alley, there is a large parking lot right around the corner, and the MRT station is not too far away, so getting there is not a problem. The shop is clean and minimalist, with a nice sushi bar (I didn't count, but other reviews say 10 seats, which sounds about right.). Loved it, and look forward to going again soon.

Love this place, ingredients are super good and all servings are well made! Even the sake recommend are well picked. Chef, Shawn, is also very easygoing and funny. Had a superb lunch there👍Will definitely return for dinner!

It’s a hidden gem located in a quiet alley. The quality of food and service level is excellent. Chief chef (ITAMAE 板長）can speak fluent English so it’s a plus if you want to know more about stories behind the food. I’d recommend guests to follow some basic manners ie taking photos after ask the chief, lower your volume and spend some time to watch how chief deal with the food. It’s kind of art and you don’t want to disrupt artists too much during their performance.

Really good omasake. Everything was very good quality. The uni was especially good here.
