Smith & Wollensky Taipei

S&W is my go-to place for steak in Taipei. It's my favorite steakhouse in the city, no question. The porterhouse and wollwnsky salad are both must-orders, and if you're looking for dessert, the GIGANTIC chocolate cake is definitely worth a try.

Ordered rib eye steak, it was done perfectly. The 3 glasses wine pairing is a good option for people who don’t want a hassle. Great and decent service. Will definitely come again.

My wife and I came here for our anniversary.
• The dishes were elegantly designed and deliciously flavorful.
• The view was spectacular.
• The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
• The atmosphere was magnificent with live Jazz performance.
• The spacing was fair but a little too tight.
• You can choose your own tipping percentage depending on how well you feel service was.
• The value was fine combing the above this restaurant provides.

Reservation is a must to be able to find a seat even on weekend here.
It is a must experience restaurant for you and your special ones. You can definitely find lower price steakhouse similar to this one somewhere else around the area, but this is definitely the one and only spot to experience a front seat Taipei 101 view with excellent served meals.

My only “regret” was not ordering enough food during the visit, we ordered 2 main courses at first but was advised by the staff that it may be a little much for the two of us, and suggested we can order later if we aren’t full. Obviously we made our own decision to decided just to order one 21oz steak instead, which for a bigger American grown man for me wasn’t enough. In the end we decided not to order another course because it would take too long for it to be served and we’d be staying for longer than we expected. Personally I felt a minor disappointment because it is indeed a special once in a blue moon occasion for us, and I didn’t have the pleasure to feel full when walking out the restaurant.
Other than that, we would like to come back again and give it another try, this this ordering enough for a hungry customer like myself.

Even the tomahawk porkchop was surprisingly tender! Goes so well with the baked pineapple and their special made brown sauce.
Also ordered #calamari from their bar bites menu which was cheaper n totally worthwhile 🤭

I had a really great time dining in this restaurant. Their steaks were really good; tender and juicy! We also chanced upon a live band, which made the whole dinner even more delightful. Their drinks weren't so bad either but their cakes were wonderful. It is good to go on a date or to celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday or an anniversary. Their menu has English but their servers can speak English. They also accept both local and foreign credit cards as a medium of payment.

Steak tacos 5/5 — closest to fajitas I’ve had in Taiwan, high quality beef
sliders 5/5 — little hamburgers, very good

Came in the afternoon for happy hour and sat at the bar. No minimum cost, and got a good view of Taipei 101. Other restaurants in the sky tower levels have minimum costs around 750 nt. Got buffalo wings for 190 nt and they were good. Bartender was friendly and explained the buildings visible from the window.

Smith and Wollensky has quickly become my favorite steakhouse in Taipei! The service was fantastic, with our waitress recommending the perfect wine and menu choices. The atmosphere was lively, with a live band playing during dinner time. Even though it was a bit cloudy that day, the view was still breathtaking. I highly recommend giving this place a try for a memorable dining experience.

Got a slice of chocolate cake and key lime pie to go. The staff was very warm and friendly while we waited at the bar. Both desserts were amazing (and not overly sweet). The cake even came with instructions for when we got home. 5+ stars!

Really delicious food and nice service. Good place for dating or dinner with friends. Sunset from here is amazing. All staff are friendly.

One of the best steakhouses in Taipei. As most Smith & Wollenskies, it incorporate local ingredients in many of its appetizers and side dishes. But, most importantly, the steaks do shine! Service is formal and efficient, and the view of the city is magnificent!

We have our year end dinner here. Good service and atmosphere. Can ask for a 101 view table, if available they will reallocate.

All their breads r surprisingly awesome
Special W Salad is pretty good
Angry Shrimp is great as well
乾式熟成生牛肉 is awesome

Seasonal juice is awesome (red guava +pineapple)

Main course:

View is good as usual. Service is 10-10 they switch our seat next to window. Waitress recommended us to try 3 for steak but it was too raw so I switched to 5. Tasted much better. Giant chocolate cake was yum.

The best service of all restaurants in Taipei; our servers, Jason & Jim were the best but everyone else was super nice and we enjoyed the food very much, but to me, the “Huge chocolate cake” was the highlight of the whole meal. I will definitely go back there to enjoy the dinner before heading back to LA.

Celebrate my birthday here! Seafood are good but volume is much smaller potion to US. The porterhouses is awesome! Very tasty and smooth! Ribeye is good, but love porterhouse more. Overall it worths to try even quite pricey. 👍👍👍

Great steak, top scale restaurant. The atmosphere of dinning room is elegant. The staff is nice and professional. They also have great selection of wine. Although the atmosphere is kind of different from the one at the NYC, I'm quite satisfied with the food here.

Highly recommend scallop with carrot curry sauce, French onion soup, escargot, and dry age bone in ribeye . Black cod was yummy but def not worth the price (~$2000).

We ordered the ribeye and the skin was so crisp and the inside still soft and juicy. The dessert was also amazing we had gigantic chocolate cake which was really big portion and also delicious. The service here is impeccable and professional.

We were so glad that we got the arrangement sitting beside the window- although it was not the side look at Taipei 101. The staffs were well-trained, professional and polite. We ordered dry-aged cuts bone-in rib eye and wet-aged New York strip. Steaks were nice but it’s a pity that the plates weren’t warm enough to keep the last bite hot. I prefer the dry aged rib eye more- It has a richer, beefier flavor, a more tender, more buttery texture, and a minerally, slightly funky scent. I heard some people do love their bread but unfortunately it’s not my cup of tea. Truffle mac and cheese was the outstanding one within other side dishes and soups we order. By the way, def try their coconuts cake! I don’t normally keen to have coconut dessert but this one was totally a surprise gem in this steakhouse.

Perfect service and food.
The steak is of course superb, but their appetizer is also perfect. Definitely try the crab cake, but if you prefer things other than seafood, definitely go ahead and try ordering stuff you would like to have as well. Half of the dishes were new stuff that we ordered and there was no disappointment

The service is also warm and sophisticated!
