We went for a very fun and informative tour by James today. Walked around historical places and listened to interesting stories. We had very delicious ice cream at snow king. Made some new friends. I highly recommend this tour.

Such a lovely, fun, and informative tour! Our tour guide was Leo (@leofromtaiwan on Instagram) and he explained things well, was receptive and responsive to questions, and was an energetic guide.

We were a group of say, about 20+ people and the great thing is you will be able to interact with people from different backgrounds and places. We were able to go to (I believe) all stops of the itinerary. The tour is more informative and educational than the kind that you take lots of "Instagrammable" pictures, and it moves quite quick so do not expect it to be too scenic and to have more time to take pictures of yourself. And I don't think families with small children will appreciate this tour so much though as the itinerary is quite somber, so I recommend this for adults who are are interested in the history and culture of Taiwan.

This is a walking tour and it lasted for almost 3 hours, so I advice to bring water, wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and prepare for the weather conditions on your schedule. As a FREE TOUR, they do not ask for a specific payment but do give a tip for the amazing tour! Went on the Old Town Taipei 2PM tour last January 6 and I highly recommend this to travelers!

We got Shao as our tour guide – despite the gloomy weather, she managed to keep us going with her enthusiasm and fun facts. She was also able to share Taiwan’s history in a very digestible manner so it wasn’t boring at all!

Nice relaxing walk
The duration of our tour was ~3hours. We learned a lot about Taiwan history. We’ve visited Peace 228 park, President’s building, food markets and pedestrian streets.

Definitely recommend doing this tour, nice way to explore the local area, learn a bit of history and go for a leisurely walk. Our tour guide Josh was full of knowledge and spoke decent English. The tour I did had about 15 people which was a decent size, we had stops at a local fruit drink place and ice cream store, and finished at Ximending. Highly recommend.

Ale’s tour was really detailed and full of in-depth information about Taiwan’s history and culture, walking through Taipei city and having free foot massages was really an unforgettable experience as traveler.

Very educational and interesting tour! Our guide, Ale, was very well-prepared and shared great insights about Taiwanese history and current dynamics, whilst allowing the group to experience some fun activities (like foot massage on the rocks) in the Old Town. The tour lasted around 2,5h but we weren't tired at all afterwards! Everything was well planned. 10/10!

We enjoyed both of our tours with this group, with the tour guides Alejandra and Shao. On the first afternoon, we met with Alejandra and learned about Longshan Temple and the area around it. We appreciated her passion for the things she talked about, such as potential explanations for why certain things were built the way they were built, and definitely learned something new!

On the second afternoon, we walked around Old Town and the 228 Peace Park with Shao. We enjoyed hearing about the social and historic background of the city and Taiwan, and personal anecdotes about her family helped illustrate some of this. The tour was a lot of fun!

It’s an amazing old town trip. We all enjoyed the trip and the stories about Taipei old town. Thank you for the touring, Shao. We learned so much from this tour. Highly recommended.
