YABOO Cafe

Had a fantastic experience tonight. I strolled in with no expectations and was blown away. The staff was very welcoming and guided to a seat. Despite my broken mandarin I was able to order a hand drip coffee. I watched as the barista carefully made the pour over and tasted it before approving the carafe to be sent over to me. The Ethiopia G1 was delicious and the notes were just as described fruity, vibrant, and juicy. I wanted to try a cup of the house blend beans as well but apparently that is for espresso only. Perhaps the barista took pity on me because gave me a cup of something on the house. Unfortunately I was too late to order an espresso because earlier I saw him methodically take off the hopper and store the beans and clean out the espresso grinder. 10/10 experience, even more so being at 11pm. I'll be back tomorrow morning to grab an espresso!

Tiramisu is tasty, and the atmosphere is pleasant. This location is ideal for catching up with friends. This cafe comes highly recommended. Everything is perfect! This location gets 5 stars.

Very cozy and cool vibe. The darker colors inside make it inviting on a warm and humid summer day.

* Lemon Tea: nice balance of tea, lemon and a little sugar

* Panini: smoked chicken and tomato is a great combination and the bread is excellent

* Milk Tea with Kahlua: smooth and silky. Must try!

Wi-Fi is fast and the overall experience is top-shelf!

Relax and quiet cafe which you can stay for a whole day there! Lovely cats and good choice of music.

You will be served with a bottle of water when you get seated. Asked staff for recommendation, they recommended me the Malibu coconut rum. Love the coconut favor!

The many artforms on display at Yaboo

If one does not know of it, this place will not be found. Looking more like a hole in a wall, than a well-frequented hangout spot, hidden away in one of the many side streets, this café is far more than just that. The prices are not to be scoffed at – 170TWD for a 香蕉可可 may sound daunting at first, but the buyer quickly realizes they are not just paying for liquid half-bitter chocolate melting on their tongue, but instead have just entered an art exhibition and workspace of the highest quality.

One of the first visible artforms are the many tattoos on the arms of every waiter here. It is not only one of them that maybe has one or too – no, every single one in service has many different symbols scattered across their skin which they don´t at all mind telling stories about.

Their blackness compliments perfectly the colorful vibe being created by the many colorful hairdos of customers coming here to do illustrations, write poetry, do some programing or even edit videos and photos.
And to add to all of this, there is a cat gracefully waltzing around the room, serving as a beacon of inspiration, as well as moment of pause for those who stop in their artful tracks to gently stroke the smooth fur of this gentle beast.

At the risk of sounding cliché, I want to make the statement that if people watching is an art, then this is one of the best possible studios one can find in Taipei.

If you're looking for a quiet atmosphere for studying I recommend. Their coffees are deliciously strong and the people are lovely too. I havent eaten there but the dishes look quite simple but if that's what you're after then it's a really nice environment.

Stumbled on this cafe when I was looking for somewhere to work late at night. The vibe is amazing with great music and lighting. Would totally recommend coming here for a quick drink and chat!

This is a high quality cafe with exceptional coffee, some of the variations of coffee drinks are incredible, a must visit for coffee aficionados ☕

The atmosphere is unbeatable, haven’t got any chance to come back for years, still vibing! (latte with liquor is a must try, never goes wrong!)

This place is great for brunch! Their Pastrami Panini was sooo good. Plus they’ve got a really cute cat. Totally recommend if you come to Taipei.

Okay there is the cutest cat here I feel like that’s reason enough of itself. But for a night owl like me it’s a great cafe to chill out at as it closes late!

Single kitty Cafe "Wu Mian". Special dessert with Kitty chocolate decoration. Decor and music is quite chill. Lots of interesting artwork and posters. Tiramisu was boozy, just the way we like it.

Very nice drip coffee, ask for the separate menu because they don't provide it at first. They have a 2nd store close by if this one gets too crowded.

Their drinks are all good! Stuffs can understand English and nice. They also have a cute cat.

If you love working or reading at cafes then you will love yaboo. The place offers ample space to put out your laptop plus a few books. This makes it good for some work. The cafe can get crowded, busy and, admittedly, a bit noisy. While some people may not like this environment I found the energy of the place quite contagious.

The cafe also sports an assortment of food and drink items which tasted good and are reasonably priced.

Very tasty tea and tiger face, the cat, is super cute, too.

We strolled into this cafe on a rainy day and it was perfect. This was the first place in Taiwan we were able to find decent coffee, at the end of our two week trip. The staff are really friendly, the atmosphere is cosy and relaxing and the in house cat is the cutest.

Definitely going back next time I'm in Taipei.
