The waiting time can be crazy lunch and dinner, can visit their website to book a seat online in advance. Or else you may also walk-in to wait for seated. Food is great, definitely worth the price. The waitress are super attentive as well.

Din Tai Fung offers a delightful experience in a bustling mall. The 30-min wait is a chance to shop, and free 3-hour parking adds convenience. The standout xiao long bao and flavorful noodle dishes, coupled with attentive service, make it a must-visit. A perfect blend of taste and ambiance!

Every time we're in Taiwan, we eat at this Din Tai Fung. This time, we've been here twice in one week - we like it that much! There's always a wait, but it's worth it. The plates are not big; it's great because you get to try different dishes. Our favorites: cucumber, house special, spicy beef tripe, braised eggplant, spicy shrimp & pork wontons, pork chop friend rice, noodles with minced pork sauce, and, of course, their xiaolongpao. I've eaten their xiaolongpao in two of their California restaurants, and they are not as juicy as the ones here in Taiwan. My family loves this place!

I highly recommend this unique experience at a world renowned Taiwanese chain.

The food was outstanding and the service experience was first class. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience of eating here. You're served limitless free tea, along with some of the best food you'll find.

My dining experience at Din Tai Fung in Sogo Department Store, Taipei, was nothing short of exceptional. The service was commendable, with a stellar server to customer ratio ensuring every need was promptly met. The quality of dishes offered was top-notch; every bite was a testament to the high standards this establishment maintains. Our order consisted of their famed dumplings, spicy wontons, and a surprisingly flavorful fried rice. Each dish was crafted to perfection, delighting our taste buds. A special mention must go to the beef noodle soup, which was simply exquisite in taste and quality. Contrary to popular dining spots, this location offered a relaxed, uncrowded atmosphere, further enhancing our enjoyment. I would highly recommend Din Tai Fung to anyone seeking high quality, delectable cuisine in a comfortable setting.

Incredible service as always, babies water dropped onto the floor. Immediately a staff member picked it up, washed it and filled it up with warm water. I have yet to see another restaurant with such service and delicious food.

Highly recommend their veggie dumplings, xiao long baos, fried rice, and house spicy noodles. Din Tai Fung has fast service and the waiters are super kind. The place typically has a long wait so plan accordingly.

All time favourite Xiao long Bao and Shao Mei. Both good in Singapore and Taiwan.

Great service, AMAZING dumplings. Tried the truffle dumplings for the first time in this visit. A favorite place to go when I'm in Taipei!

Friendly and thoughtful services as usual. Food tastes good as usual as well. 30 mins wait for a weekday is okay. It's located right next to a supermarket so can look around while waiting.

I came to this place for first time in 2015 and it had Michelin star. The food here is spectacular! The taste of each piece is special. The staff is polite, helpful and very experienced.
Since 2015 I always visit this place when I am in TaiPei. It’s one of the most significant restaurants in the city. Getting here can be a bit difficult from some areas but totally worth it.

Everything is hand made and super fresh! It’s an adventure for your mouth :) 6 stars

I didn't try dumplings this time, the food quality is still above the average. Yummy.

I’ve been to Din Tai Fung countless times in the US, and I can tell you this was an order of magnitude better in quality. Almost everything we ordered (chocolate小笼包 sux) was a step better than it’s foreign counterpart, which is already incredible.

The 凉菜 are exceptional and would highly recommend getting a bunch. Their 小笼包 is definitely the best item but the nice thing about this place is that all the portions are small enough so you can order a lot and try many different kinds of food 😋

Worth waiting even if the queue is very long. We were waiting for an hour. The staff will give you a menu list. I do recommend you select before you have a seat. That would make you get food faster. The menu has multi-language. So tell the staff where you are from. Dumplings are the most famous food you should never miss it. Buns here are soft and yummy also. Try foods that they give stars on the menu.

We came here at about 4pm on a weekday. Waited 10min for a table for four people. We checked the DTF website for the queue status and saw this branch seems to generally have shorter queues compared to the other TPE outlets.

Food was great! Glad to get our DTF fix.

Very good and authentic taiwanese - chinese cousine. Loved the chocolate dumplings! 😋During the weekend go with one hour in advance, waiting could be long but you can go shopping at the Mall while is your turn to enter the restaurant 😉👍

If you go before the shopping centre (Sogo) opens, enter via the main entrance. Basement 1 and its various stalls will be open.
I was given a QR code to order, which took me to their website. Luckily, I've worked with enough online menus and recognised enough Chinese characters to be able to view the menu in English. (But, if you're not so lucky, I'm sure one of the many servers will be happy to help.)
It's my first time trying Din Tai Fung in its motherland (I loved it in Sydney) and it did not disappoint. I reckon it tasted better in its native land! There were more items in the menu than they do in Sydney. (But, unfortunately, they did not have my favourite dessert, which was taro in fried spring-roll-looking-type thing.)
They were very efficient - constantly refilling your tea. And clearing the used plates/platters/bowls. It was clear that service was also a priority of Din Tai Fung - as I saw, and experienced, good services in all shops: Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney.
It's one of the reasons why it's my favourite food franchises.

One of the most amazing things about Din Tai Fung is its remarkable consistency. The quality and craftsmanship are superb pretty much everywhere. With 10s of locations that I’ve visited, the food is always consistently great. People can say it’s touristy, but just remember that locals eat there as well, and it’s still the best quality dumplings, fried rice, and chicken soup, etc you can find anywhere.

Waitresses were very polite and smiled a lot. I love good customer service because it makes the experience that much better. Half of your experience comes from the food and the other half comes from how comfortable you feel. The waiters and waitresses definitely know how to make their customers feel comfortable.

I went with 2 Japanese guys and the staff could speak in Japanese and in English with us.
