Zhongshan Metro Mall

Very interesting underground shopping street. Other than a usual Xi men ding 西门町，this is a place I will be highly recommended for tourists to visit if you are in Taipei. An important note is to make sure you walk out or exit the underground shopping street to discover more surprises around this area. There are plenty of small shops compared with Yong Kang Street.
We like to visit places love by local rather than just a touristy spot. Plan your visit timing around late afternoon till night time, so you are able to experience different vibe of this place.

A mall inside the Taipei Main Station. Every thing you desire can be found here. From high end leather goods, to simple souvenirs.

Gets you out of the heat, rain, wind. Lots of stalls/shops to browse around.
Walk up one way and then down the other.
Food and drink available.
Easy acces from some MRT stations and bus routes.

A popular shopping mall with many interesting shops and no worry for rainy days...(shops might be different if they don't renew the rental upon the expiry date.)

Beautiful metro stations, easy to travel around using metro maps. We can easily get to places we wanted to visit.

Great undergoing mall, the train station and surrounding areas are expansive and lots of things to eat and shop. Everything is pretty much in English which is great and the bathrooms are convenient and clean. It can get a bit crowded and is it a bit hot at times. But nonetheless you can find some cheap items or hard to find things.

Great place to visit to get the Taiwan feel.

Cozy place for weekend stroll and shopping.

We love coming here to have a wonder, especially when it rains. In general, price is not night and those souvenir stores are great for buying Taiwanese gifts for friends.

I came here very often, since the place i live is only few minute walking distance from here. They have many stores here, but i favorite one is Eslite Bookstore.

Nice place for afternoon shopping to escape the sun and crowd. Akb48 shop and cosmetic shop and more. Less crowded than Taipei underground shopping
