Chef Hung Beef Noodles (Jianguo North Road)

The staff were friendly but there wasn't much "service" per se. You order at the counter and self serve for drinks and sides.
Noodles however are delicious. I had the half tendon half beef noodles with house noodles. The noodles had great texture, the soup was clean tasting, and the beef was tender. Overall very satisfying meal.

The best beef Noodle ever tasted in Taipei for me

I tried this at the 2013 Taiwanese Beef Noodle festival and it was one of my favorites. It had the best noodles that were wonderfully thick and chewy. The broth was bright, light flavorful and refreshing. The soup came with both thin cuts of beef and larger thick chunks that were delicious to chew on. Yum!

Touting the title of best noodles in Taiwan, expectations were high going in. They did not disappoint and definitely live up to the hype.

Service and atmosphere are unassuming, staff are courteous and attentive, but it is definitely not a romantic hotspot, that's for sure. That being said, if you're there or the food like we were, three of us ate full noodle bowls plus a huge plate of dumplings, two beers and an oolong tea for 1,550 TWD.

Highly recommend it and the menus have some items with basic English translations. We used Google Translate's camera option to better understand the menu and choose, as our local friend who brought us there had a limited English vocabulary.

Noodle n beef is nice

I love the taste. If you’re lover of beef noodles, definitely try their upscale combinations with many different parts of cow!!
