Chongxin Bridge Flea Market

It's the largest flea market in Taipei.
You may find everything over here as foods, clothes, hardware, household materials, antique, coins, stamps and etc...

Recommend to visit early as 9am for the flea market lovers, it may take 2 to 3 hours to spend here for the local stuffs. Some of the stall may close 1 hour early.

Worth to visit !

If you’re a collector here’s the collectable heaven for you. From old gadgets, preloved clothing, chinese pocelines, gems stone, crystals, raw stones, hardware tools and many more to see. There’s also a large food court inside.

Just right opposite the New Taipei Metropolitan Park.

The thrift market comes alive on weekends, drawing crowds eager to uncover hidden treasures. Amidst the hustle and bustle, I discovered a true gem—a digital camera from 2007, priced at a mere 800 NT dollars, which has brought me immense joy. Beyond the bargain finds, the market is a melting pot of cultures, offering everything from clothing to electronics and even a taste of Indonesian cuisine.

Flea market, sells literally everything. Come on weekends. Weekdays not as many vendors. Very fun to spend the morning here just looking around. One man's trash is another man's treasure. At the end, there is are food stalls. Cheap food, large portions. Photo is of a bowl of lamb rice vermicelli soup.

It's always fun to come here, see, and buy things that are affordable and vintage. I always go here every time I am in Taiwan. Before, they were only open during the weekends, but nowadays, you can go there every day, but the weekends are the best time to go, early in the morning when there are fewer crowds. I suggest wearing comfortable shoes and a small body bag for money and phone. It can get crowded in the middle of the day, so bring an extra big bag for your purchases. You will never know what you can find when you visit, it's different everytime, either a vintage find or a new item, luxury 2nd hand bags or items for your home, it's never boring.

Super fun experience! There is a great mix of new item, old items, fake old items, cheap items, tools, trinkets, clothes, hardware, and tea. Minimal pirated goods. Fun atmosphere with Taiwanese pop music playing. No one tried hard to bargain or sell so the atmosphere was relaxed and I could browse. Clean bathrooms. I went at 11 AM on a weekday, and people were already starting to close up shop, so I suggest going a little earlier, or going on the weekend. Easy walk from bus or metro.

How I met your mother

Let me explain I was going to go to Fuhe flea market but according to my GPS it's 2 hours away. So I looked for something closer due to my schedule, after wondering around for a bit and coming up empty handed I began a remorseful retreat. However, the day wasn't all bad, that's because on that day I bumped into a lovely lady.
That kids, is how I met your mother.

Even as a local, I'd say it's definitely something different. I got there around 6 and watched people getting their sundry goods ready at the stalls. It was lively, fascinating and somewhat surreal since it was surely not a everyday scene (not to mention the bargaining part and haircut booths). However, if you're looking for something fancy with high-quality; it's probably not the place. I highly recommend it.

What an experience. I'm hesitant to even write this review because it is such an unknown gem. We had wanted to go for ages and I was finally up early enough. Be sure to get there just before 6 AM so you can witness the change between bleak, dark, under-bridge; to bustling market. The things on sale were fascinating - there was everything. At one end you can get all sorts of delicious food too. The ambience is wonderful and the random addition of a Burger King is not enough to break the spell, though it is unfortunate.

Everything is a lot cheaper! Tons of things to shop for.

Weekends are the best time to visit the market and as for the other days you can stroll to get good view of the scenery (attached photo is the scenic bridge from afar that you can't miss while in the flea market)

Busy market on a Sat morning with everything you need. New or used. And great prices!
