The Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei

Hotel feels traditional with a sense of very well-established reputation (in a good way). Good location with nearby good eats and shops. Room y and comfortable beds. Breakfast buffet are our favourite! Staff may seem less smiley but very professional and helpful with our requests. The doormen are very friendly (always with a smile and help guests to take photos with no glumness). They are quick to open your taxi door when you reach hotel. They make me feel that they take pride in working in this hotel, which I feel is important to a guest. I want to come back here next time in Taipei.

This is the third time we are staying here. Location is excellent. The restaurant is really good but the service is what makes it stand out. Rene at the receptionist is professional, helpful, friendly and goes out of her ways to make our stay at the hotel memorable. We highly recommend this hotel.

Convenient location, bright and spacious room, comfy bed, great sauna! The pool is currently closed bc of fluctuating temperatures. Staff were professional and warm, proficient in English. I really appreciate Jason Mori at the concierge who was kind and extremely helpful! Will stay here again!

This is a long overdue review- we stayed here in May 2023. Howard Plaza Hotel is in a convenient and safe location that is walkable to MRT stations, has a fantastic breakfast offering, nice bar area, and amazing service above all.

I still talk about the service- I got injured during my stay in Taiwan, and the concierge (Alan in particular) went out of their way to take care of me. They loaned me a wheelchair, found a pair of crutches for me to have, pushed me to the nearby hospital (and in a suit in the dead of summer!), and stayed with me to help translate. Alan even called additional medical suppliers to come to the hotel to provide care, and asked his own questions to the doctors on my behalf. Really outstanding how much care they put into ensuring their guests have good stays! Thank you Alan and team!

The services from the staff were amazing! One particular person who was super helpful was Jason (許傑森). He was very knowledgeable of the surroundings, and suggested a couple Laundromat when I asked for one. The staff in general are very attentive, helpful, which may be difficult sometimes for a busy hotel like this one. The location is great, close to the MRT red, blue and brown line. They even sell sturdy boxes for $100NT in case you need some for shipping! For the suite though, recommend adding a couple cushions to the sofa. Otherwise overall, it was a pleasant stay here.

Hotel is situated in the heart of Taipei city and the area is bustling with life. Many shopping places nearby and subway is walking distance. Good service, rooms are spacious, clean, lots of light and well maintained. Staff is courteous. About 45 minutes from international airport but definitely recommended whether business or pleasure. My package included breakfast and there are two dining options with sufficient spread. Will definitely stay here every time.

Great place to stay if you plan to enjoy Taipei! Da an district is the area to be for all things here! Situated centrally in one of the best areas and just minutes walk from the metro station, Howard hotel has the perfect location, awesome service, and the most unforgettable breakfast buffet that we came back here second year in a row! Every time! 5-star service from every staff here including John Huang and ladies and gentleman down on the ground floor. Service here reminds me of old-school standard of providing accommodating service like no other. Highly recommend!

The hotel looked aged but had cleaned well, so it made us feel at home and comfortable.
All staffs were very polite and gentle!
They prepared breakfast box for us, because we needed to leave at 5 a.m.

Can’t ask for a better hotel in a major city!

Fantastic service, knowledgeable staff, excellent value and very well located. We had our 8 month old with us and they provided a baby cot and bath free of charge. An overall excellent experience and we would certainly stay again.

This is the 4th time that I am staying at Howard Taipei. It is a great 5 star hotel, although the hotel is quite old and its facilities bit outdated but their employees are super friendly and proactive in assisting and supporting the hotel guests. I would like to commended the staff Jasia, she goes all out in helping me when I encountered admin issues while checking in today. Thank you.

This is a visit to Rainbow Terrace. Me and my family enjoyed almost every dishes. The dinging atmosphere and environment are also very comfortable. Service is remarkably good.

All around a great hotel. Very clean and easy to accommodate. Service is top tier and staff are very nice as well. I was helped up to my room by John Huang, who was very attentive esp since I’ve been traveling for more than 24hours and arrived late at night.

The Howard Plaza Hotel is an excellent establishment to stay at! It’s very clean, modern, and has great amenities. I used the pool, gym, dry/wet saunas, and the restaurants. The concierge staff at the front are notably friendly and very helpful in translating from English to Mandarin. Peter in particular, had assisted me greatly. I thought I had misplaced my passport, so he quickly gathered all the resources to help me locate it. Linus, Lily and Daniel also helped me with various inquiries as well. Overall I am very satisfied with my stay here and looking forward to a future visit at the Howard Plaza Hotel!! Thank you for the great service!!

Room is spacious and clean. The bed is comfy. Service was phenomenal. I especially want call out Jason yoh, John huang, and Kevin for being great to me at the concierge. Special thanks for Rene, Chloe, Jessica, Jennie, and, christine at the front desk. There're also two older gentlemen that i didnt get to catch their name( one at concierge, one at front desk with a black suit) they were on overnight shift between 2/18 and 2/19 that I wanna thank then for dealing with my thousand question when I was suffering jetlag. Location is conveniently located too any major transportation and You Bike!

We loved staying here. The bus from the airport stops in front of the hotel, which is super good. We enjoyed the breakfast. We will be definitely coming back.

The Howard Plaza Hotel did not disappoint. We always make it a point to stay at the Daan district but it is our first time to stay in this particular hotel.

The location is very strategic /accessible, which makes it easy for us to go around whether by MRT or cab; the Xinyi district is an easy walk too. There is a good balance of traditional and modern offerings in the hotel and the surrounding areas.

Aside from the good location, what makes this hotel an ideal home in Taipei is the extra service they readily provide their guests. All you have to do is ask.

Hats-off to the concierge team, specially Morí, Jay and Henry for going beyond expectations.

Jennie was amazing. Our travel arrangements were messed up but she fixed them and sold us a convenient late checkout. Top notch service for this foreign guest.

Wonderful hotel! Friendly and helpful staff, incredibly clean and beautiful flower displays too. The most incredible breakfast experience I’ve ever had! Lovely swimming pool too. Thanks to Richard and Winnie especially.

We just stayed at The Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei for 3 nights and the hotel represents a pretty good value considering breakfast was included as well. The reason for writing this review is because of the exceptional hospitality and service especially from the young concierge lady from London unfortunately I don’t want to misspell so we’ll omit her name and Hung the young man that works in the lobby was very helpful and accommodating!
