MGH Mitsui Garden Hotel Taipei Zhongxiao

I recently stayed at the MGH Mitsui Garden Hotel Taipei Zhongxiao (和苑三井花園飯店 台北忠孝) and had a largely positive experience. The rooms were notably spacious and featured a sleek, modern design. The overall ambiance of the room was comfortable and stylish, perfect for relaxation after a day of exploring Taipei.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere right from the start. Their attentiveness and excellent service ensured that all my needs were efficiently addressed during my stay.

A standout aspect of this hotel is its prime location, being conveniently situated near a metro station. This allowed for easy access to various attractions and dining options throughout Taipei, greatly enhancing the convenience of my visit.

However, it's worth mentioning that the room's layout includes glass walls between the beds, the shower, and the toilets. This design choice means that there's limited privacy within the room, which might be a consideration for those traveling with friends or acquaintances.

Overall, my stay at the MGH Mitsui Garden Hotel Taipei Zhongxiao was very satisfying. The combination of spacious and modern rooms, friendly staff, and an excellent location made my time in Taipei enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel, keeping in mind the unique room design for those who prioritize privacy.

We had a terrific 4-night stay. I really enjoyed using the public bath after a long day of walking. It does get busy around 9-11pm but the public bath is of a good size so it doesn’t feel too crowded with 6-8 ladies. Like others have commented, the shower area has glass walls and could be awkward if you’re staying with friends. The hotel is right beside an MRT station with 2 train lines that makes it convenient for going to most attractions. However the immediate area is kind of quiet compared to other parts of Taipei and there aren’t many restaurants nor a night market closeby. However it is 10-15 mins walk to Sogo or 2 train stops to Taipei main train station so still pretty convenient.

I stayed 3 nights here for a solo trip in Taipei, I really enjoyed my stay at Mitsu Garden. The location is amazing, 30 secs walk to metro station and there two different lines that can take you to most of the attractions in Taipei. The room is in decent size. Public bath on top floor is also a bonus after a long day out in this fun city. Only thing to improve could be adding some additional hook in the room to hang the towels.

However, it is surprised to see that 4-5 workers at the counters chat together when guests are checking in and around. It should never happen in a Japanese brand of hotels.

Our long weekend at the Mitsui Garden was great. We found well-appointed rooms in a great location, with even better service!

The hotel has a 17th floor public bath - common for MGH properties, as well as a VERY popular restaurant on the first floor.

Another great feature of the hotel is that it is a 30 second walk from a metro station (Bannan Line/Blue) making access easy.

As some others have mentioned, the rooms are not ideal for groups other than family/couples.

A beautifully designed city hotel in Japanese style with a good location. The rooms are very large and elegantly furnished. I particularly liked the bathroom area, which offers a good opportunity to relax. The Japanese bath on the top floor with a view of Taipei is also a special highlight. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. I will gladly book the hotel again.

The hotel is convenient located just beside ZhongXiao XinSheng metro station exit 3 and is about 15 minutes drive away from Taipei 101 Observatory. The location is very central and it’s easy to get to places via metro. There is also a youbike station beside and opposite the hotel, with many available bicycles to travel to nearby places. It’s also pretty near FuHang Soybean (popular breakfast shop).

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, very pleasant to interact with, would initiate to greet guest entering and leaving the hotel. During your arrival, after check in, they would show you to the lift and help you with the floor number.

Room was well kept, very clean, spacious and amenities are well-maintained. They replaced the bottled water and toiletries everyday if you are to request for room cleaning. There’s an option for “do not disturb”, “room cleaning” and “I’m safe”(in the case of natural disaster). Toilet seat is automatic with various interesting functions (e.g blow dry). The automatic open and close toilet seat function did give us a scare at first as the sensor was quite sensitive.

Love their lounge at level 2, they had different types of seating, with free drinks (water and coffee machine). There’s also male, female and handicap toilet at the same level too.

It had a very homely feel and I would definitely revisit if I were to travel to Taipei again. Thank you for the great experience during my stay.

Hotel is well located to most attractions, like Xiamen, Dongmem. It is just next to Zhongxiao shinseng entrance 3. Service is a good as a decent Japanese hotel with hot spring and quite new.

Great hotel that's very close to central taipei train station (same road). The bus stop is right outside the hotel, and the metro station is like 1 minute walk away, next to the hotel.
Recommendation: Grab a taxi when you arrive at taipei train station to go to the hotel. make your life easier, especially if you're tugging along luggage. Taxi fare is around 150-200TWD to the hotel via Uber.

The hotel room was very big with the toilet and shower separate. Room has amneties provided (shower cap, shaver and shaving cream, bath cloth, cotton pad + hair tye, cotton buds, toothbrush, and comb). Showrr has shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel - all were pretty good. My hair was nice and smooth after washing, but I'm not sure if it's the water or the shampoo.

The room has usb charging sockets, bottled water, and an AI speaker, which was pretty cool. Water can be taken from the 2nd floor if there's not enough, for free. Bottled water, so pretty handy.
Slippers provided each day. Automatic toilets and pretty good one, too.

Room was very Clean. The staff were So friendly, welcoming and efficient. One of the staff walked outside after seeing a guest having problems renting a Ubike and helped them. Above & beyond!

Room was clean and spacious. Hotel is within walking distance to various public transport, has an onsen, vending machines and comes with restaurant. Very convenient! On top of that, it has a spacious common lounge too

Great location, room and amenity with friendly staff service. I was fascinated with this hotel once I entered the 5th floor’s room though I prefer higher floor rooms always. Everything was packed there. Spacious shower booth, automated Japanese shower toilet, authentic brewed coffee, Japanese tea etc.… I love it here!!!

Super friendly and helpful staff. Room very clean and comfortable. Concierge help us to make reservations and gave us good restaurant recommendations. Offers breakfast buffet .

Only stayed for one night but wish we could stay longer!

Conveniently located right next to a train station. Staff was helpful and accommodating. The room was modern, clean, bright, and boast a great view. Not the most spacious room but has everything you could ever need. We had 2 large + 2 small luggages and were still comfortably moving around the room. They also use Toto branded toilets and showerheads.

Would love to come back and stay with them again!

Excellent hotel, clean and service is good. Located next to underground train. Using Uber or taxi is easy and cheap too. Some good restaurants nearby too.

A good hotel to stay in. I was there with my wife for 3 nights. The staff are accommodating and welcoming.

Although the room was not ready when we arrived at 8 in the morning (as expected), they allowed us to store our luggage and also use the public bath.

When we returned again at check in time, the room has been allocated as per our preference and also our luggage have been brought up.

It is also easily accessible by train and bus.

I especially like the public bath and the lounge on L2, where guests can get a coffee or even bring their own food to eat there.

We recently stayed at MGH Mitsui Garden Hotel Taipei Zhongxiao for our 5-day trip to Taipei. The hotel's location, just a 30-second walk from Zhongxiao Xinsheng MRT Station, was incredibly convenient. Our Deluxe King Room was spacious, clean, and featured a comfortable bed. The Japanese-style TOTO toilet and well-equipped bathroom were highlights. The hotel's large bath area, though not a natural hot spring, provided a relaxing experience. Overall, we were impressed with the Japanese-style service, thoughtful amenities, and value for money. We highly recommend MGH Mitsui Garden Hotel Taipei Zhongxiao for a comfortable stay in Taipei.

The best customer service that we got in Taiwan on our trip. The FO team are friendly and helpful, we lost 3 hotel umbrellas and we asked to pay for that, but they didn't charge us anything!
