Knocked out and mesmerised by the huge Sashimi with rice set lunch! Honestly, your jaw will touch the floor. Only a sumo wrestler can finish it! Very fresh fish and all super delicious. They provide a wet hand wipe but no napkins so bring your own lol!

I forgot to take pictures, but the food was really good, we ordered salmon/tuna sashimi and tonkatsu sets. The portions are really big that we couldn’t finish all. The set includes salad, side dish and dessert.
The service was amazingly fast and friendly. I recommend you come to this place with big appetite!

Authentic Family style Japanese Food right at eastern side of the Taipei city. Came here every time I stepped in Taipei. A small restaurant in the alley but cooking styles and food are amazing. Prices are reasonable and portions are huge. If you like real Japanese food, this is the place for you.

Delicious Japanese cuisine with huge portions. I went with one other person and we were going to order a sashimi don, nigiri sushi, and tempura, and the server suggested that we don't get the don because we won't be able to finish it. Glad we took her advice!

The portion is huge! The fish is so fresh! And the price is totally affordable!

I ordered the luxury sushi bowl. Should have brought my own knife because instead of bite-size sushi, they give you huge pieces of fish fillet. Fish is definitely very fresh, but the sushi bowl can feed 4-5 people.

Went for lunch. Got the sashimi set and it was just an ungodly amount of food. Came with a 8-9 pieces of thickly cut sashimi, a soup, rice, a fish head, and a dessert. Please wheel us out of here we are stuffed.

Many people in the West may think sushi is upscale, fancy food, but that's due to misleading marketing tricks. KINGYO Japanese Izakaya is one of those family sit-down restaurants where the environment is designed for people to relax and socialize.

The sashimi are cut thick, not kidding here as they are about as thick as strips of steak. The sushi also has thick cuts of fish. If you are a sashimi or sushi lover, this place is guaranteed to be your new heaven. Aside from the usual sashimi, sushi and other Japanese snacks, they also have Hotpot. The combination of sushi and hotpot means there is something for everyone. The price is very reasonable to reflect the family mentality. They don't skip on quality since everything is very fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The weekday NT$450 lunch set deal is fantastic value. Or, as the locals say CP值 非常高. No wonder it’s packed.

Fresh sashimi and wonderful Japanese style dishes of large portion and at affordable price! Great value! But since there's not much space and always crowded with people, diners have to compromise with the environment.
