I go there from time to time, and it's always good food.
The place is classic with its old lived-in history, but always nice and fascinating to go there.

The food always good, and good, the only thing, I noticed a change in the desserts.
This time they seem less sweet than usual.
Too bad, but equally good

One of the places we will visit in Taipei. We enjoy the food and the service. This trip we ordered the fried oyster, braised pork belly, pickled veggie omelet, sesame oil kidney, porridge with sweet potatoes, fried fish with chili and almond tea. We normally order the liver dish but we doubled up on the kidney on this visit. The service is good and efficient.

Great tasting food with fresh ingredients. Stir fried pork liver was served al dente with a great taste. Steam chicken was very tender and the fried oyster was so crispy and taste so fresh. Advise to make reservation or prepare to wait an hour.

Great food, awesome service and nice atmosphere although the ceiling is a bit low. We had a wide array of dishes from liver to squid and all of them were awesome, well seasoned and perfectly cooked.

This place was recommended by local friends. Restaurant is situated on second floor with lift access. Ideally make prior reservation as the place can get quite packed. We had set menu lunch. Food was delicious and everyone had an enjoyable meal here.

Eating at this Michelin star restaurant has been exceptionally overwhelm with great food and service. With the vast choice of food to choose from. To taste each dish that melt in your mouth with full flavours. Probably one of the best traditional Taiwanese dish I've had since visiting Taiwan many times.

Managed to get a table for weekend dinner. As usual, their food is top notch. Very different from your typical Chinese fair. This is another league and we are really fond of it.

This time ordered Braised pork belly which was super duper tender and flavourful. Stir fry beef with kai lan which was delicious as well. Beef was on point, not overcooked and tender. Ordered the usuals pork liver and grandma noods.. which again consistently delicious.

Will return without a doubt. Highly recommended but do make reservations in advanced to avoid disappointment.

Yum! Our family has been coming for a few decades for nice, sit-down 台菜.
This place is not super fancy, but they did have white linen tables and white porcelain teapot on a warming stand, even for lunch. Reservation recommended.

Nice authentic local Taiwanese cuisine restaurant. Good and clean restaurant. Spacious too. Easy to locate. Delicious food with friendly servers. Will be back

First time here. Highly recommended restaurant for high quality Taiwanese/Chinese food. If you are in Taipei looking for good local food and like Chinese food I recommend this restaurant. It's not cheap and cater to people who are not price Conscious about food prices which want good quality food. I will be back for sure when I am in this neck of the woods. Just about anything you order here is good even their plain rice is great rice unlike the rice in China.

Good Taiwanese Cuisine for many years. We've always enjoyed the local tastes here. We had to book 2 weeks in advance before arriving in Taipei. Recommend the signature stir fried century egg with chives, pork liver, oyster omelette, stewed cabbage with conpoy and mochi. They were sold out of crabs this visit!

Business trip there for 2 days. I was taken there by my Taiwanese local friend. Very wonderful Taiwanese cuisine with long history. Very reasonable prices. As this restaurant is popular, make sure you make reservation before going there 😅

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Taipei. You won't be disappointed.

Must try the almond jello dessert. The texture is different than any place I've had.

First choice in Taipei to have a more sophisticated traditional Taiwanese diner, with white tablecloth and napkins.
Wide but sharp menu, large choice of seafood dishes + more importantly dishes precisely executed, service gentle and helpful.

People working here are super nice! I can tell they really cared about the food the serve and cater to your needs.
This place offers traditional Taiwanese foods, stuff I’ve eaten growing up that my mom used to make. The food here is very elegant and keeps to its Taiwanese roots. I would def recommend this place if you are in the area.

The food here is very good. There are more food that we ordered but we forgot to take picture. It is recommended for family gathering.

The service was way way much better than their Nanxi branch.

However, the environment is better at Nanxi. I guess it’s because Zhongxiao branch is located within an old building.

Quality is consistent and service is good. If you want a sit down meal to taste some of the typical Taiwanese dishes, this is your place to go.
