Sicao Green Tunnel

You have to wait until there's enough people to start the trip. They give you a hat and lifevest to use during the trip. Tickets are purchased outside to the right of the doors. Bring sunscreen and bug repellent.

The entire tour is in Mandarin. You go up the waterway and back the way you went down. Entire trip is about 20 minutes. It's leisurely and you sit on little chairs with a bunch of other people nearly shoulder to shoulder. You will need to watch for branches because it can hit your head. The guide will let you know when there are branches coming. Best time to take pictures, depending on the lighting, is toward the end of the waterway coming back.

Located not too far from Anping old street and can be accessed with either public transport or taxi, this place is definitely worth a visit when you're in Tainan. With scenic nature and afforfable price, you would spend about 40 minutes riding one the river, in the middle of the trees with a lovely tour guide

Calming boat ride which reduces stress! Affordable too! When you are riding the boat, you have to duck the branches to not get hit by them! 🤣 The instructor was very funny too! I will recommend this 30 min boat ride!

It was a short boat ride (about 30mins) but really pleasant. Our guide was mainly talking in mandarin in the mic ( she pointed at animals in english for us ) but the main sights didn’t require language to understand.
We went during a weekday in the morning, we didn’t wait to board the boat but there was still enough people to start the trip directly without waiting for others to fill up the boat.

Really beautiful and serene place. the ride was fun , even for the kids. and the guide was entertaining and informative at the same time..i enjoyed it!!

The tunnel is really amazing. It is a relaxing place to get rid of all stresses from my busy life by seeing this green place. So peaceful there. It is called Amazon in Asia ✌🏻

We did the small tour. A minimum of 30 people is needed, therefore you will need to wait for other people to make the count, but it is very quick

Absolutely love it. Please go earlier to avoid the crowd. We arrived at around 10ish and waited in line for about 1 hour. But it is still a worthwhile experience to try. Do take front or back seats if you could to have better view in taking photos.

My #3 in the bucket list to visit in tainan,,a 30 mins,boat ride under a "mangrove trees",,

It was like a small amazon jungle river cruise adventure. First of all you have to purchase tickets then line up in front of the entrance. We could get into there less than 10min at 11AM but after that lots of people were there making a long line. I recommend you to go there as earlier as possible. A Guide explained us about unique mangrove and creatures living around there during appx 20min cruise. The boat was passing by mangrove tree branches really closely so we had to watch out though it was not so dangerous, rather to say it was thrilling!

If you like to visit natural places to enjoy the fresh atmostphere, you can visit this place. The price for adults is 200 ntd/ person to sit in the boat during 30 minutes.
The tour guide is very friendly, kind and present detail the history of this place. They can speak English well.

Very impressive scenery, worth to go especially if you're a nature lover (I took the boat trip twice in a roll!)

A must! Well worth it! After the tour, do a Youbike rental and explore the area/park.

It's one of the attractions in Taijiang National Park, taking the small boat and having a closer look on the mangrove forests along the riverside is relaxing and full of scenary. The tour takes 30 minutes and with reasonable price. Worth to have a visit.

one of the best place of interest in Tainan . get to see some birds and crabs along the mangroves river. you will be able to take nice pictures during the boat ride. be sure to be seated at the first row of you want a clear shot. the wait for the boat ride is about 45 mins and the actual ride is about 15 mins.

Worth the visit! We stopped at the Sicao Green Tunnel on trip through Tainan, and it was one of our favorite experiences of the trip! The river tour was very enjoyable, and I appreciated that they gave us hats to protect our faces from the midday sun. I will return to visit again!

A fun ride along the mangroves! There is a guide on the boat but its mainly in mandarin and dialect.

Great place to enjoy the green tunnel. Boat trip takes 30mins however on peak times you will have to wait more than the actual ride time. If you need selfies try aim for the rear of the boat or the front. It can get hot during the day so aim for the mornings or later in the afternoon.

The mangrove forests on both sides of the waterways grow together towards the center, intertwining to form a dense semi-dome of green shrubbery, stacking layer upon layer to create a deep corridor, not knowing the end and appearing mysterious, thus giving the Sicao Green Tunnel its moniker “Little Amazon”. Tourists from home and abroad come in droves, waiting in line to get on the raft that leads to this green wonderland. The sightseeing rafts rock gently with the ripples, the breeze caressing the visitors’ cheeks, carrying the weight of the warmth of the sunlight, as the rafts shuttle through this city's secret green realm.

Push forward to the end, into the deep realms of this enchanting mangrove, and unveil the final highlight of the journey. The calm waters of Sicao Green Tunnel reflect another world of mangroves. Nature inadvertently reveals a world where the real and mirror reflections create a visual spectacle that looks like a “lip”. Some people call it the Angel's Kiss, while others call it the Green Eye. What we know is that it is a precious gift from the Sicao Green Wonderland to visitors.
