Maharaja Indian Restaurant

I had a great experience at Maharaja Indian Restaurant. Today, I went to that place with some friends. We opted for a pre-set menu for four people, which was enough to satisfy our hunger. If you're unsure, this may assist you in making a decision. Additionally, you have the option to order other items. Once we sat down, the menu was promptly placed on our table, and soon after, we had it in our possession. In my opinion, this is one of the restaurants in Kaohsiung that offers authentic Indian cuisine. Although it may be a bit expensive, the dining experience you will receive here is definitely worth it. Some of us were not aware that the menu was pre-set and found it to be too spicy. Perhaps we should have kindly reminded the chef about our dietary preferences. Just a friendly reminder that the Indian chef is very accommodating and happy to tailor our dining experience to our preferences. They open in the evening after 5:30. Scooters can park in the available spaces in front. Additionally, there are nearby parking lots that require payment.

Such wonderful flavors in every bite. Everything we had was delicious and served quickly and very nice and hot. The staff are friendly and took our order with precision. I can’t wait to go back again thank you so much!

One of the best Indian food I had in Taiwan. I love the mutton curry, very very tasty. The name was filling. The ginger tea is very nice too. But it's a bit pricy.

If you are Indian, the Indian chef himself will take the order and understand the taste needed.
The spice, flavors are matched to perfection. Cost - 1000 for 2.
Good option for Indians travelling in Kaohsiung.

Bombay potatoes were excellent.
Lamb Biryani and chicken Kadhi were very tasty, nan bread was large and perfect for mopping up the sauce.

The best Indian food I’ve had in Taiwan by far. Good service and they get the food out pretty quickly too. The set menu is amazing and you get so much food.

Very good food, friendly staff and fast service. For 5 people it cost around TWD1825 which isn’t bad at all. We ordered masks papads, soup, breads, two kinds of vegetarian curries, one vegetarian biryani and one lamb biryani and finished off with two masala chai. All the food was authentic and tasty.
Being first time in Taiwan and touring around, finding this Indian restaurant was really nice. The Chef came out to speak and take our order and spoke with us in Hindi. The hospitality was outstanding.
Definitely recommend this fantastic place to eat great Indian food.

Very authentic Indian restaurant in Taiwan. The chicken tikka masala was delicious. The nan bread is somewhat crispy and soft the same time. It is amazing. The service is okay but I'm really amazed by the food there.

Best Indian restaurant in Kaohsiung. We asked for medium spicy, and it tasted great.

The decor was definitely interesting, but the food was delicious. A little overpriced, but worth it for a quick service time and a variety of tasty dishes. We come here once a month for our Indian fix. Just make sure you book if you're planning to go at the busiest times.

This dinner was incredible and made for an enjoyable evening. Absolutely would recommend this restaurant.

The food is amazing. Chicken is actually juicy, not dry at all. Lamb chops oh my god were soooo satisfying! It's not only juicy but thick and meaty! Definitely worth the splurge. Especially since there's not many choices for authentic foreign food around here!

Delicious Indian food in kaohsiung. Chicken tikka is incredibly tender. Two people ordered samosas, chicken tikka, garlic naan and lamb curry. $815 total. Quite full. Fast service, comfortable seats, clean restaurant.

Great Indian food and friendly staff.

Excellent experience ..... the food was great and will get what you ordered preciously the spice level. The owner and the staff are polite and humble. The must try is the kashmiri naan, masala tea, mango lassi and dal makhani, all the dishes are delicious but these just top the list. Not to forget the service is also great. Which makes this place a 5 star and highly recommended.

This authentic Indian restaurant, complete with highly skilled Indian chefs and a professional staff, serves up the best Indian cuisine in town. Remember, no beef or pork, so chicken, lamb and vegetarian. Food is outstanding!

My favourite Indian restaurant in town. Lots of good vegetarian options. The samosas are great as is the naan. Excellent service. English menus and English speaking servers.

Authentic Indian food... great taste... friendly staff...highly recommend.... I'm always going this restaurant whenever coming to Kaohsiung 👍👍👍
