Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taipei

This is certainly the best hotel among all at the same price range we’ve stayed at in Taipei in terms of location, facilities, staff, services, maintenance and so on. Their employees from gate guard, receptionists at desks to housekeepers are professional and courteous.
I’m especially impressed by a guard, Lupin. I left my luggage at the hotel when checking out in the morning. In the mean time, I asked them to call a taxi company I prefer to take me to my destination in the afternoon. The cab was waiting for me in front of the hotel shortly after I went back to pick up my luggage.
Good locations get travelers’ attention.

There is no question about the service. However, the room definitely shows it's sign of age. The carpet definitely needs either deep cleaning or replacement. Shower area is too small. The toilet plumbing needs better flushing - each #1 needs at least 2 flushes to clean. This is kind of embarrassing for a 5-star hotel.

Convenient location. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. There is a washing machine and a dryer you can use for a small fee on site.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Highly recommend. Even though the hotel isn’t the super modern kind of hotel, the hotel room was spacious and clean. Excellent service from the concierge/reception.

The hotel is also located just 5 mins walk from the metro station (exit 4) which makes it very convenient.

I have stayed in quite a number of hotels, including 5-star hotels (I have lifetime elite status in a specific chain). The Evergreen Laurel hotel is easily the best among all the hotels I have stayed in. Every hotel I stayed in previously always have something that is not ideal but not this hotel. The beds are comfortable, room is brightly lit (which is a big plus and super rare), a lot of good amenities are provided in the room (increasingly rare in post-covid world), shower water pressure is good, the water temperature is easy to set and remains consistent and the sound-proofing is good - I did not hear any noise from my neighbors (the hotel is full). The location is fantastic as well - I stayed a total of 5 nights and every location I plan to go to is easily reached from the hotel, either by bus or metro. There are two metro stations nearby - Songjiang Nanjing on the green line and Zhongxiao Fuxing on the blue line. Both are within walking distance though the latter is slightly further. There are multiple convenience stores nearby, as well as a Watsons and a Carrefour supermarket. The famous Leechi is right next door. The housekeeping standard is impeccable as well. Oh ya there are also coin-operated washing and drying machines in the hotel.

The decor might seem tacky to some (a lot of gold lol) but it is something I can easily put up with given everything else that is so great, and at such a friendly nightly rate. I will definitely be back again when I return to Taipei!

Great hotel, next to a 7/11 and only a few minute walk to the mrt.

The room was spacious even though overall decorations were dated But the extra living room space make up to it.

A hotel which changes my mind (in a positive way)

I booked this hotel very spontaneously with my family. Allot of hotels in taipei were fully booked due to national holidays.
During the pandemic we kept searching for NONE quarantine hotels and the EVA hotel says they aren't accepting quarantine travelers.
So we decided to book this hotel.
I know EVA hotel for long time but never stayed in and i know it's been quite old.
I didn't expect much in the beginning, but i was pleasant surprised about the well maintained furniture and the clean details in the room!!
The room was super clean to the corners!! I have to give my highest compliment about this part (which is also the reason why I'm writing this review).
Sure the wooden furniture has been worn out during the years, but it's been oiled and polished, the carpet (which very often is the most disgusting part in the room) is very well kept and cleaned.
The couch is also nice and neat cleaned which i can't complain!
I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Compact but luxurious 5 star hotel in central Taipei. Although not new, it is very well managed, clean, and well maintained. The equipment used is high quality (windows are soundproof), the breakfast buffet small but well selected. Staff is very friendly and professional. It is in walking distance to Songjiang Nanjing Metro station. Rooms are on the small side but comfortable. I didn't check the gym/wellness area. Very recommendable.

I have been using the service of Evergreen Laurel Taipei Hotel since 2015 and it continue to provide excellent service. Staff are friendly and responsive.

My stays in Taipei Evergreen is excellent. This place just like my 2nd home when I travel to Taipei, the whole team makes me feel like a family. Thanks to Ice, Amy, every one ... and young men always greet me at doors with smile, the room always clean. I love the food too (I already miss 佛跳牆和南瓜米粉... so yammy), the room service always happens whenever you need it....

I was looking for a place to change diaper for my son. I was told by the K hotel next store that they did not have restroom in the whole hotel. Then I walked into evergreen and I was happily greeted by the bellhop and he kindly opened the door for me and directed me to the business center restroom with infant changing table.

Thank you evergreen, your hotel service is just like your flights, your staff always treat customers with empathy and kindness. I will always fly Eva air, thank you for that kind gesture!

We stayed in summer 2010 nice Nautical themed 5 star hotel right on the Banking Street in Taipei, very nice environment. We had a large two room suite because we had four people on the trip. Always a bit harder to find rooms for four.

Nice Hotel nice room, breakfast not very big but also just nice for all, have western , japan and chinese food almost international. Staffs are friendly. Nearby not for shopping but transport easy to access. Have Bus to airport too. Very Convenient.😀

The main entrance actually not so eyes catching . But when you entering the lobby you can see great interior and good service from the staff. Huge room and good facility in hotel. Beside hotel many tourist attraction , shopping mall , convenience store and restaurant.

Was at the 3rd floor restaurant. Traditional Chinese table dish. Food is quite good.
