(As a foreigner) Went here to dye my hair for the first time. Was welcomed very friendly with tea and got asked what my preference was. After I showed her some pictures, she showed me some colors, and she tested it on my hair first to see if I would like it. She had a lot of patience: took 2,5 hours but she made sure everything was perfect. Afterwards she styled my hair really well. Would highly highly recommend!

Lisa was my stylist, and she was really fantastic! She truly treats her work like her personal responsibility, not just a job. She takes the time to check your hair’s health beforehand, and listens and advises with your best interest at heart. She gave me the exact color I was hoping for - very natural and a kind of ash-gray color that is harder to get out of red-tinted Asian black hair. Thank you Lisa!!!

This salon offers exceptional service and I am highly satisfied with my cut, trim and perm! I’m an American traveling to Taiwan for a family vacation and my daughter and I came in for a digital perm. We were highly recommended by my sister in law who also used Lisa for cut, highlights and treatments. Lisa and Kelly were amazing with our trim, treatments and perms. They explained everything step by step and even expressed concerns that they could perhaps not perm my hair since I had highlights done about 6 months ago and they would not want to waste my money. I appreciated their effort and patience and they applied two treatments for my hair and I was able to get the perm done. They further taught us how to maintain the perm once we go home. I highly recommend If Salon and Lisa and Kelly are great!

I came to the salon undecided about what I wanted to do with my hair, but thanks to Lisa and her assistant who were both very nice and helpful, I left with a look that I love! Lisa advised me about what color would match me, how to take care of my hair and how to style it by myself. 🥰

Communication was no problem at all even if my Chinese isn’t really good. So for foreigners who are struggling to find a hairdresser you can trust, you should go here. They are very accommodating and the location is convenient. :)

Loved my experience at IF Salon! Kimi was amazing with both my haircut and scalp treatment - it was so relaxing and informative. She explained everything clearly and provided great hair care advice. Even though I don't speak Chinese, the language barrier wasn't an issue, thanks to helpful technology and translation apps. Everyone was super friendly and the service was excellent. Had an amazing experience at IF hair salon. I had the head and scalp massage ($599 ntd) and my wife had the full head and scalp massage and treatment ($999 ntd). It was so fun and relaxing. The lathering and massage by Kelly was tremendous. She was definitely very experienced and not a single hand motion was wasted. The hair wash was great, and then Lisa helped blow dry and style afterwards. They even took cute photos and playful photos while our hair was lathered and printed them out for is afterwards to keep as souvenirs. So fun!

Kelly and Ming are extremely attentive and understood exactly what I wanted. They explained each process to me, which made me feel like I was part of the journey. Great people here. My first time getting a perm since I was here for vacation and did not disappoint!

Got this amazing hair cut done by Xin. She put a lot of effort in giving me the nicest hair style and paid attention to the smallest details. The hair cut and shampoo cost 600 TWD in total. Cheap and high quality. I highly recommend this place.

I got a cut, perm and treatment and were well looked after by Kelly and Xin. I was particularly impressed with Xin's scissor skills and was thrilled with the end result. Booking was made easy via Line and prices were competitive. Thanks again!

Found this salon by searching for top English-speaking hair salons in the Taipei area. I was very happy to be matched with Lisa. She was very understanding of my hair's poor condition. She treated it so carefully even though I asked for a perm. In the past my perms had turned out too curly - ahjumma style. She understood my goals and was able to give me relaxed curls/waves. It looks so effortless. I highly recommend Lisa and this salon to anyone looking to get a cut and perm.

Had Designer Xin perm my hair and it turned out exactly how I wanted it. Though I only spoke English and showed her one picture, she still fulfilled all my requirements and was very detailed with the whole process. I'm definitely happy with how it turned out with this being my first perm

I got a scalp analysis and hair wash by my stylist Lisa. Based on my scalp, they chose a couple mild shampoos to cleanse my scalp; the 2nd shampoo was cooling and refreshing. I thoroughly enjoyed the shampooing. It was so relaxing and lasted a good amount of time. Afterwards, Lisa took the time to style my curls back to life and gave some volume to my roots. My Chinese isn't that great to begin with, but she was very accommodating and the language barrier wasn't much of an issue with the help of technology and translating apps! 10/10 would recommend. Super friendly staff.

Got a perm and layers from from IF Hair Salon and it was the best experience ever! I’m from America and this salon lived up to and exceeded its expectations. Xin was my designer and she was so amazing and accommodating. First off she designed and cut my hair perfectly to exactly the look I wanted and was very communicative and helpful throughout the whole process. Additionally, I was running short on time because I had to get to another event and she was able to quickly do my cut and perm in almost half the time to accommodate me. She also did this quick hair job without compromising on any of the quality! My hair still looked amazing, lush, and the perm was perfect even though I made her rush because I had to be somewhere soon. Could not have asked for a better designer and can’t thank Xin enough for what she did for me! If I am ever back in Taiwan I will be coming to see her 10000%! Lastly, Xin and her team were so sweet, warming, and thoughtful. They all made my experience there so incredible and I highly recommend this place to anyone. Thanks Xin and the rest of the hair salon team for giving me a great hairstyle! Hope to be back soon.

Love this place! Kelly was my stylist and was amazingly kind and understanding. I did the scalp treatment and the hair nutrient wash, my hair felt so fresh and soft afterwards. Definitely, come here if you’re visiting Taipei it’s only a few stops away!

KIMI gave me a hair wash with purple shampoo and styled my hair. i wasn’t sure what style i wanted, but she took very good care of me and gave me a pretty new style that i’ve never tried before!

I went here about a week ago and had an incredible experience! The hair washing felt incredibly soothing and relaxing, and Lisa’s haircut was done very professionally and stylishly. Lisa was also very fun to chat with as well even though my Mandarin wasn’t too great.

Next time I’m in Taipei, I’ll definitely be coming back to IF Hair Salon and requesting Lisa :)

I made an appointment with Lisa for a haircut. I don’t speak much Mandarin but was able to talk to Lisa about what I wanted and the reference photos I brought. She is so kind and understanding and patient!

I have naturally thick curly (2a/2b) hair with a lot of volume, I wanted a shaggy hair cut with curtain bangs which is more popular in west than Taiwan so she was so patient with me explaining the style. She also gave a great head massage and listened to all my requests since curly hair takes a bit more attention to detail.

I've been in desperate need of a haircut since moving here, and got lucky enough to find IF on Google. The salon is cute, and Lisa was super helpful in communicating to Kimmy what I wanted done with my hair, but by the end of it Kimmy and I were having whole conversations on Google translate. She was super friendly, made my hair look and feel amazing, and seriously gave me the best shampoo and head massage of my entire life. She even gave me recommendations for places to go in the area, and ordered me a drink from the shop below to try. I'll definitely be making the trip up from Taichung next time I need a haircut.

Did a hair treatment + cut here and I’m super happy with the results! Lisa and Kelly did a really good job plus they are very funny haha. My hair felt alive again after surfing almost everyday and I really like the subtle butterfly haircut.
