Chengzhong Market

Wonderful local market that has goods sold at a slightly cheaper price from the usual tourist night market.
They have goods from Japan, Korea, Taiwan and of coz' the cheapest China goods for clothing. Sellers are mainly the older generations that is still trying to make a living. Support local goods please.

Hidden gem only known to (old) locals. This unassuming market has cheap fruits, cheap clothing, and cheap food. The must try are the aiyu jelly with lemon, the squid soup, A-shun pork chop, and the 50 year old tofu dessert. ALL amazing. What a find.

Those who are adventurous & likes to explore local alleys, this is one of the alleys to go to.

Unfortunately when I went to the market too early there were not many shops open. But I'm sure this place is nice for shopping..

I love this small traditional market. From local food to clothing. And pet friendly, lots of people come with their lovely pet

Great traditional market called "Inner city market".
This market used to sell fashion goods to the young ladies and housewife several decades ago. Interestingly, the customers continue to shop in here as the time passes. The young ladies now become the elder women. That's why you will found yourself immersed by elder women here in the inner city market.

Good place to buy clothing from hats to shoes. Kitchenware etc. Good price too.

I really like this place I've been here with my boss couple of times and it's good for window shopping checking some stuff at the market.. There's also a lot of coffee shops and restaurants you can choose amd enjoy your visit :)

A very interesting local shopping place that many foreigners might not know. Full of local flovour. The goods might not be fashionable but the quality is there. Value for money is the selling point here. The vendors are energetic, creative and friendly. A great plus point is that it is quite neat and does not have awful smell. It is usually very crowded and there might be pickpockets lurking around. Therefore you must be very careful of your belongings when you are there. For the vegetarians, there is a nice and inexpensive vegetarian restaurant nearby. Its name is San Lai Su Shi (三來素食).

From one end to the other, just for bargain hunting. Same things with lower price than the department store.
some delicious dishes or desserts to eat.

Great place to visit! Lively market and bold yet friendly vendors. A must try for bargain hunters and food travelers. Try the squid mien sian and mua yu chicken noodles.

Traditional market one. It's the market at noon for local people. This area there is many shoes shop. Style also traditional something for work like that.

Very traditional, and if you are avoiding other tourists, this is the place to buy your mangoes and general grocery items .
