Zhongxiao Road Night Market

The last visit was at least 4 years back. 2 I would like to recommend were 炎伯红茶drink and 炸鸡城 chicken. We liked the 红茶冰 and the fried chicken drumstick & wing. Both we went for 2 rounds

The Steak at the budget meal is delicious.
Also the fried mutton stall is nice also.

A very localised night market. Not many tourists here so you can enjoy the local vibe. It is about a 15-20mins walk from the Taichung TRA station.

It is quite a fear factor, buying items at this market as there is no clear demarcation between the stalls and the streets. Hence, there are many motorbikes whizzing past one when one is walking down this night market. Some of these bike riders will also cut in to the stalls to buy their items.

Another great place to find local food in Taichung such as fried chicken and watermelon juice. Usually crowded at night. Most of the stalls close after 1030 so you might want to come here not too late at night.

My favorite night market in Taiwan. Beside delicious food, I love that it is not overly crowded like Shilin or Feng Chia NMs and the shop owners are very nice and patient with us foreigners. About 10 mins walking from Taichung train station.

Easy access from the map location. Many different varieties of food. Seems clean and hygienic night market in Taichung

Street night market. 15 min from central station by foot. Lots of good food stalls. My favorite is monster pizza 🍕 (Mexican jalapeno!)

Full of local people not very long but it's enough for people who want to have decent food for the night. Reasonable price and good quality of food. I barely see foreigners here. Just follow Taiwanese people you can find some good and cheap food!
My boyfriend highly recommend the pork roll from this vender. Full of meat and sauce is perfect.

Steamed peanuts for the win. Cheap and good for when u get back to your hotel and eat while chilling. Watermelon juice was great too. There’s a stall which just says watermelon juice. Large size is super huge and affordable at 55 twd

Awesome experience, lots of locals come out during the night time to have dinner. So many food to try, yet not enough time.

Good food, good prices. Just pay attention to the bikes and cars and everything is good. Not a lot of foreigners, when we were there - more locals … good for „meet & greet“ 😉

Night market here has got a lot of food to eat.

As usual with Taiwanese night markets more than enough food to choose from such as Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese. Also note there are several hotpot restaurants close to each other; sometimes even next door!
