The temple is amazing to see, especially at night. We also toured other locations not too far from the temple and were taught about the history of the areas surrounding the temple. Jenny is an awesome guide.

Jenny was GREAT! Very knowledgeable and funny. She kept our group with a few wanderers together effectively and engaged with everyone! While also being very aware and respectful of the other people at the temple. One of the best and most informative tours I've been on. She's clearly an experienced and passionate guide. Ale was great! It was a beautiful thing to see someone from another country be so knowledgeable and have so much love for Taiwan. She knew her stuff! She was funny and made the tour interesting and I personally loved the history that she knew as well. The tour was great! Easily one of the best walking tours that I’ve been (if not the best). I feel I’ve learnt a lot from it. Our guide James was very knowledgeable, has good humor and it was enjoyable to listen to him. He was friendly, and willing to answer whatever questions we had. The tour was well-organised, fun and informative. I look forward to joining another tour that is hosted by them again!

It was a pleasure to accompany Manu on the Longshan Temple tour. We learned so much about the history and surroundings of the temple, the rituals of the people who visit the temple and much more. Thank you so much for the great tour! We highly recommend this free tour, especially before traveling around Taiwan and visiting more temples because it's so cool to know what people do there. It is recommended to book a slot before and please use their own website instead other platforms. Otherwise they need to pay them.

Had a great experience with Mark as a first time tour guide for the Longshan Temple. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the area, temple, and Daoist religion.

Mark also helped me out with lending me his moon blocks while praying. I was getting slews of no's and when I used his blocks, I magically got yes'.

Ale was one of the best tour guides I've ever had. I walked in expecting to just get a glimpse of all the spots, but she really explained all the history so well with perfect English and I truly felt like I understood what we were walking through. If you're in Taiwan, please do this tour !

Our host was Sun and they were exceptionally knowledgeable, approachable, and engaging. We learned a lot and felt we were able to maximize our time at the Longshan Temple and surrounding area!

We took this tour on the day we arrived in Taipei.

Tour guides Violet & Vincent both took turns at presenting us with many interesting facts about Taipei in general and the Longshan Temple area in particular. At the start of the walk, Violet provided us with a background of the surrounding area. The Bopiliao historical buildings are quite special and have been well preserved. We spent some time there as Vincent was keen to explain the significance of the buildings. We visited a small temple following which we made our way through Herb alley where we were able to see many shops selling traditional herbs for medicinal purposes.

The Longshan Temple itself looked very beautiful at night and both Violet and Vincent explained the rituals and their significance. They also walked the group through many deities enshrined in the temple complex explaining the purpose of worship for each of them.

Then came the ‘tea house’ area where the story behind the area was provided by our guides. Snake Alley followed and though there are only a couple of shops left where snake is on the menu it is definitely worth a visit. The final stop was Huaxi Street where the night market was on in full swing.

This is a must take tour as not only is the route an interesting one, but also guides Vincent and Violet were keen to tell us much about the city and its people as we walked along.
