Excellent modern equipment (German standards) with great staff and caring service. Definitely FIVE STARS! I highly recommend this dental office and will be returning there for all future dental needs. 😍👍🏻

Covid-19 procedures:

There is a thermometer at the door and automatic hand sanitization station right beside it, followed by either indoor slippers or disposable, automatic booties (first time I’ve seen something like it). There is a mini-fridge with beverages and water dispenser as well. The clinic is very new and clean - we went as a family with kids 5 and 8 and while we were in the same room, equipment and gear was wiped down or exchanged between them in full. We’re a family of dual citizenship, and honestly Taiwan wins in healthcare in dentistry as well.

Consultations:

For work I had consulted Crest, Oral-B, and Fixodent from P&G on their websites and their print-friendly oral care articles - so I know more about oral care than the average person. My kids converse in English - something Dr. Chen accommodated and got them to cooperate very well. My kids felt very comfortable. Previously in other pediatric dental visits we had bad experiences and blurry scans where the dental practice refused to retake them. We noted some trivial cavities on my children’s milk teeth and mainly discussed pediatric orthodontics for my 8 yo. The scans were transparently shared on huge flatscreen tv’s and I felt like I was listening to a weather forecast, but with my dentist on my children’s teeth. I’m very glad I got a fourth opinion here because the scans were very clear and Dr. Chen shared with us next steps we should pursue when we return to the United States. Several pediatric dentists in Boston (and my father, a retired dentist) had told us to wait for our child’s dental arc to form closer to their teens - in our case given her already narrow dental arc an RPE (Dr.Chen Googled it for us and it looks like a retainer) was recommended so that we reduce the chance my kids would need to pull out premolars like I did as a child. Waiting for the dental arc to form was older dentistry, and she asked if I was having receding gum line problems - which I was - a side-effect from removing premolars. Given the time frame we had left in Taiwan it wasn’t feasible to do that at Prime Dental, but I now know what questions I should be asking my child’s dentist in the states. If you ask me, I believe Taiwan’s dentists are more experienced than most licensed in the US. Many US dentists use old equipment and methods and see a lot less patients.

Furthermore we also got a CT scan for my partner who was due for two impacted wisdom tooth extractions - a procedure we didn’t quite trust to be done in the United States and have put off for 5 years. In the US they took x-rays. I couldn’t even get a price quote through dental insurance. Here? They took CT scans - scans that revealed nerves by her wisdom tooth - which requires full anesthesia. We’ll be in contact the next time we return to Taiwan to schedule that appointment in advance next time around as they have hospitals they work with!

Other notes:

We did not have an appointment, but the average person with one was in and out in 30 minutes. We created 3 new case files at 2:45 and was out by 4pm.

There is construction going on next door - they are expanding their clinic size.

The pharmacy they work with is across the street. We did not need any prescriptions for pulled teeth… yet.

Push the door out when you leave. There’s a sign but most people don’t read it.

We were out (whole family) a lot faster than in the US which averages 60-90 mins a person from our experiences on over 7 different dental practices.

The only clinic that let me book an appointment on such short notice (same day, Saturday). Once I told the receptionist I was in a lot of pain, she told me to come in early and see if I could be squeezed in sometime earlier.

After arriving I was seen to within ten minutes, which I appreciated greatly, and they dealt with me quickly and professionally. The boss, Geoff (and his sweet kid), kept me company before presenting their diagnosis for my tooth problem. The explanations were clear, coherent, and presented to me using clear X-ray imagery and fantastic 3D imaging software I had never seen before.

They advised me on my options, giving me the time and freedom to think about what course of treatment I would like rather than pushing me to make a choice in solely in their own interest. Very grateful for this.

They are (now my) excellent dentists. Thanks a lot for the service and the time!

Great dentist for English speakers! The dentists are amazing and so gentle. The staff is extremely accomidating and friendly. All of the equiptment is state of the art and the office has a very clean and futuristic vibe. I would recommend this dentist office to anybody but especially English speaking foreigners! I was nervous about visiting a dentist after a bad experience, but Prime Dental goes above and beyond to make each visit plesant.

All new fancy stuff and great staff. English friendly! Unfortunately my cavities mean I'll be returning soon but I'd gladly come back here for any dental needs.

已多年在這洗牙及看牙，很貼心的會在預約看診前一天電話通知，進門環境很舒適，不會讓人有懼怕看牙的感覺，櫃檯小姐也很親切的帶位進診間告知可以先行使用漱口水稍等醫生看診，醫生會先看過牙齒情況後仔細說明治療過程，若治療過程有感到不舒服時，醫生也會稍停的問是不是不舒服，會盡可能的快速弄好，減輕看牙的不適，很推薦這家牙醫～診所環境、醫生都很好！！！

環境潔淨時髦。醫生都很有耐心去解析情況。最重要是我6個月一直發炎的牙齒問題，他們用了最先進的掃描技術把根源找出來，不用幾天的時間，從開刀到康復。整個過程都很快順利完成。記得提前預定時間。醫務所都很忙。

醫生細心、技術好又有效率⋯讓我害怕了多年的智齒一眨眼就跟我say goodbye👍

離捷運站和公車站都很近，到站後五分鐘內的步行距離即可抵達，招牌明顯不會找不到。騎摩托車的附近都找得到停車地點，開車的相對要稍微尋找一下車位。
