You can rent a bike to make a tour around the lack in the morning. There's a restaurant u can order some snacks or food and enjoy eating it with the nice view of the lack.

Perfect for walking or riding a bicycle some nice cafe resturants on the lake side too. 👍

If you are looking for a quite and serene place to escape from city life (Ankara) Eymir lake is the place. It is quite natural, with a lake stretching along. You can rent a bike for 10 to 15 Turkish liras per hour. You can also dine in the forest on your own or from the restaurants there. It is very safe place, a lot of people and families with their kids hung-out there.

A must place to visit those who loves Nature accompanied by cycling(Approx. 3km).
Timings : 6AM to 10PM
Minimum Duration required:1Hour
Bicycle available for rent. starts with 20TL/Hour. For kids and elders also special bicycle type available.
Restaurants: Don't expect much during pandemic time.
Preferred to visit during morning.

A piece of nature in concrete Ankara. I recommend biking rents to cycle around the lake and have breakfast on one of the restaurant located nearby the lake.

During my last trip there, bikes were available for rent at more than one entrance to the lake area on an hourly basis of about 10 tl/hour. First, we biked around the lake, a sporty 11km ride, and then took a leisurely explorative stroll the second time around, in which we got to absorb in the lake's scenery, and sounds of the water, the wind, and the animals.

On my first trip there, a weekend, it was pretty crowded, but not too much, so if possible, I would recommend going there on weekdays.

In conclusion, I'd say lake Eymir makes a good refuge from the city's atmosphere for sports lovers, and families alike. So if you like nature give it a shot.

Very clean, quiet and perfect if you want to have a one day hiking or less, you can rest there. There are cafe and restaurants.

This is a great place! A true natural refuge in a metropolis. As far as I know, it is 10km around the lake. This is a great place for walking, jogging, and cycling! There are several bike rental shops - 15 to 30 TL an hour - with hundreds of bikes. Moms with small kids, you can totally go here on your own. The are 3-wheeled bikes with a seat in the back where 2 (or 3 thin) kids can sit as you pedal. Short horserides are provided for 10 TL. People with a membership can go around the lake by car, but since it's funner to hike or cycle, I didn't ask how much it was. There are several restaurants and cafés placed at intervals around the lake. They have restrooms (but the corners are full of spiders which personally prevents me from using them). It's nice to go to the shore and observe the numerous birds native to the area. This is a great place to show your children that being outdoors is fun and that there is more entertainment out there than just wandering around shopping malls.

Best lake in Ankara. I'm here at least once a week. People love running and cycling around it. A tour around is 10.5 km. There are also trail routes into the forest which makes this place unique for sportspeople to train.
There are two entrance into the road around the lake. Entrance with car us prohibited. There are also lots of people who come here to have a walk and enjoy the Sundays with loved ones. Beware though, prime time can be overpopulated.

A jewel of Ankara. Kinda only escape from the concrete buildings of Ankara. You can have your full circle (11km) walks or bike around it. You can rent bikes at the entrance of the park. Nice fish sandwiches are sold in few places.

A calm lake to get some fresh air. Many people bike around and there is a bike rental place. You can get 2 or 4 person bikes and haul people you like.

Great for walking and cycling but be careful newbie bikers..

Beautiful place to walk or run. Very tranquil. Wild dogs are a bit of a nuisance until they are fed.

Lake Eymir is a small lake in Ankara Province, Turkey. According to notes of Seyyah Kandemir published by the governorate of Ankara in 1932, the lake was named after a Turkmen tribe named Eymür.[1]
