METU Forest

To see Eymir lake from top was great! We came this part of the forest first time and enjoyed a lot! The place is middle of the city, Tracking with kids and get fresh air is well worth! You can come for run or cycling aswell..

Great piece of nature in Ankara. A lot of trails for hiking. There is a dog shelter at one part of it but dogs don't seem to be aggressive.

Eymir is different every visit. Junk sculpture attracts attention. We are continuing with art at Çarşı.

Love that green Eymir lake with my bike. One can hire a bike and tour around the lake.

Wonderful place in Ankara. Jogging and walking around the pond is very nice.(app 5km track) Weekdays it is very peaceful place to be. However in weekends its a terrible place full of people, kids and cars. No peace in weekends at all.

It is a wild life exhibition in the hearth of Ankara. On the trails you can take a quick walk for 30 min. or go for a bigger adventure exploring the whole area and observing the lake.

Huge forest that covers a very large area. Trees and wildlife are just breathtaking.
Eymir lake centered in the middle, there you can rent bikes and quads and go through the paved paths and have çay or dinner at an eatery.
Beautiful sunset over the lake as well.

It's a great place for hiking, cycling and having fresh air by the lake. Entrances are limited by days and time frames. Make sure that you check the opening hours before you go.

Lovely walking place to release stress

A really nice place to get out of the beton jungle. A nice place to make barbecue or walk around. If you want to stretch your legs. There are cheap places to borrow a bike from or just run or jog.
I went there alot of times to get my mind out of all the commotion in the big city.

Beautiful overlook of Emir Gölü. Peaceful winding paths through a pine forest. Great time alone or with your best friend.

It is one of the biggest forest in Ankara. It is protected by Middle East Technical University. If you want to arrive this area, first you can pass from universtiy security entrance.

Pine smell, fresh air, lake view...

Amazing getaway, a great way to spend a healthy weekend. However, take care of your bike being stolen.

There are many opportunities to do here, walking, cycling, running, and also having a nice breakfast and Turkish coffee to relax.

Nature and beauty, but a bit crowded when it is holiday time.

Always beatiful. You can feel your breathe in all manners. (Fresh air plus socialogically)
