An octagonal shaped small but historic KONAK MOSQUE was built in 1755. Konak mosque is located at Konak square in Izmir's city centre. The mosque has a single dome, minaret and entrance.

Konak mosque is a small mosque remarkable by its octogonal design. It can take up to 40 persons! Although small, Jumaa prayer with Khutba is also held here.

Very nice mosque, although it's small, but the exterior elevations are full of details

It's so tiny and delicate, but also very elegant and somehow even powerful. It's open and free to visit even for non-muslims.

Smallest mosque I've ever seen. Beautiful decoration and architecture. Situated right next to the clock tower.

Konak Mosque (Turkish: Konak Camii), also called Yalı Mosque, is a mosque in İzmir, Turkey. It is located on Konak Square in the heart of the city next to the Governor's Mansion and the İzmir Clock Tower. Despite its relatively small size, it is considered one of the landmarks of the city for its distinctive octagonal shape and elaborate tilework
It is located in Konak Square in the city center in Konak district. Built in the style of classical Ottoman architecture in the 18th century, the mosque decorated with turquoise tiles is a structure identified with Konak Square
The Mosque was constructed in 1755 under the patronage of Ayşe Hanım, the wife of Katipzade Mehmet Paşa who governed İzmir at the time. The outer tiles were brought from Kütahya. It has a single dome and minaret and unusually for a mosque, only one entrance.[3] The interior is lit by a chandelier by Ümran Baradan

A very small mosque. Built in year 1748, the mosque is in the famous Konak square of İzmir.
It is built in a octogonal plan which makes it amazing.
It is still as a mosque in use, as you see in my pictures.
I was here: 02 August 2018

Tiny mosque with an area of one average room, but what is surprising - woman prayer place is allocated despite the small area.
