Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport

Well laid out airport. Very spacious and very clean. Easy to navigate. Looks like a fairly new airport. Duty free shops are average and very few in the domestic flights waiting area. No free WiFi only for those with Turkish mobile network.

Really quick security and check in process. Lovely and bright inside terminal and not too busy at all in the domestic terminal. Places to smoke too after check in. A very pleasant airport.

Very nice, clean and fast service airport in Izmir city, Turkey.
Just 20 minutes by yellow taxi from the marina Izmir (my hotel).
Taxi cost 235TL to the airport.
Love this airport, not to crowded and beautiful minimalis design.
When I'm check in, showing classical live music show inside the airport.

Not very big also its clean airport
You can find rent cars office into salin and also can change your money in exchange offices here, but i don't recommend it to change your money here

This airport is a very futuristic airport! The staff are extremely friendly and smiley. I was catching a connection from Ercan to Stansted and from what i saw of the airport, it was lovely. They are very safety cautious here as we went through security twice! If i have to change in Turkey again i will try and go through Izmir!

Lots of security and bags checks to go through but super quick! Passport control is easy also and the staff are efficient and friendly. Duty free area small but has some great deals.

Modern and beautiful airport. Very convenient to reach with all means of transportation. Metro rail is available just outside of the airport. Numbers of Eateries available before and after security check.
Just one negative thing; trolleys are over priced and when you want to refund noone is available to attend.

Very modern and spacious airport. Izmer local trains are very convenient. Only downside is small bathrooms which seems common in Turkish airports

Nice and modern airport. A bit quiet and not as crowded as the other Turkish airports. The starting point for Ephesus and surroundings if you prefer by air. A rental car is available at an affordable price. Also, there is an inter-city train service from the airport.

It’s an easy going airport, everything is tidy and easy to access. There are busses and train connection to the airport which makes traveling to and from the airport so much easier than other airports in Türkiye. As usual there are two security check points, one right after the entrance and the other is before the gates. Don’t bring your liquids with your hand luggage (including sub screen) if they are bigger than 50cl. I still see people struggling with this one.

Great airport for in country flights. I traveled at 1300 on Monday and security lines were well staffed and fast. Limited food beyond security. Cake & Bake has a good selection of pastries and some food.

Was very quiet on Sunday, 17th September

Stayed there from midnight to 6 o’clock in the morning! It’s January so it’s empty but really great job and nice staff (Btw easy access through metro aka Izban)

This is my most favourite airport in the Izmir region because it is really clean airport. There is good parking outside. The terminal is nice and big. Long queues though. Good duty free. Not very good choice of restaurants but that can change someday. Cheap flights fly from there too. And when I fly out of here I can see most of Izmir which is nice. Thanks for making this a nice airport to fly to and from. It is the best. I used to live in the region in icmeler urla and it was very close to my house there too.

Very convenient for national and international flights. Duty free options and park space are very sufficient.

First of all, I liked the airport because it is easily accessible by any of the 3 types of public transport and taxi
To get to the airport you can use 4 ways:
1. City bus,
2.Taxi
3. Shuttle Havas
4. by train Izban
To get to the center by Izban train, you need to take the train, go to Hilal station, change to another line and go to Konak station. This is the center from which ferries depart to the other side.

What I can say about this airport?

Great small and cozy airport.
The architecture of the airport is just fascinating, as if you find yourself in the city of the future.
I also liked the flower garden planted to the left of the Airport, it is simply beautiful!
There is a special area for smoking.
The airport is well equipped for people with disabilities.
The working staff is very polite and helpful.
There is an excellent luggage room for almost any bulky baggage. (see photo)
Easy to find anything thanks to the presence of pointers.
In comparison with other airports inexpensive Duty Free.

В первую очередь, аэропорт понравился, потому что до него легко добраться на любом из 3 видов общественного транспорта и такси.
Чтобы доехать до аэропорта можно воспользоваться 4 способами:
1.Городским автобусом,
2.Такси
3.Шаттлом Havas
4. поездом Izban
Чтобы доехать до центра на поезде Izban, необходимо сесть ра поезд, доехать до станции Hilal, перейти на другую линию и доехать до станции Konak. Это и есть центр от которого отправляются паромы на другую сторону.

Что можно рассказать об этом аэропорте?

Отличный небольшой и уютный аэропорт.
Архитектура аэропорта просто завораживает, попадаешь будто бы в город будущего.
Также понравился цветник, посаженный слева от Аэропорта, он просто прекрасен!
Есть специальная зона для курения.
Аэропорт хорошо оборудован для людей с ограниченными возможностями.
Работающий персонал - очень вежливый и отзывчивый.
Есть отличная камера хранения для практически любого габаритного багажа. (смотрите фото)
Легко найти все что угодно, благодаря наличию указателей.
В сравнении с другими аэропортами недорогой Duty Free.

You can be very confused if you have transit flight. You should go outside of the baggage area and go on the second floor. But it is very clean, nice and calm.

Follow the rules of disease prevention. Friendly staff, always happy to help. Satisfied with the service
