Köşk 1981 cafe & restaurant

We ordered ottoman casserole and WOW the meat was just incredible. Definitely big enough to share with 2 people! The eggplant appetizer was also good! Atmosphere was okay - they could have put some music but that’s alright, we weren’t expecting that anyways! Service was good!

I visited this place with the family during our stay in Istanbul. The food was really good, the stuff super friendly and welcoming, we had a chat with the owner, he was very friendly. I recommend that place.

Very nice place and great service. Fair prices as well. I had a broken ankle and they took care of me in every way they could!

Not a huge fan of döner, but tried theirs and was impressed. Got a complementary dessert (pictured). Would recommend!

Wonderful! We came after reading the other reviews, and are so glad that we did! The food was authentic & delicious, the service warm & friendly. It was easy find, and has good beer too! Will definitely be back next time in Istanbul.

I would recommend the chicken casserole, fried eggplant and chicken skewers! they also have the best complimentary bread we’ve ever had in our entire stay in istanbul 😋 they also gave us free baklava 😍 teşekkürler! 10/10

Service is awesome. Waiters are friendly and smiling. Even though I hate that fake smiling as it is obvious.

Food in this place compared to other Istanbul restaurants is great. But, comparing it with food from other restaurants worldwide it is average.

I loved that they gave leftover food to cats nearby.

My Mom and I dined at this restaurant three times during our visit to Istanbul. It was recommended by our hotel staff and very close to our hotel. We enjoyed the food, drinks, and most of all—the service! Thank you Fatih for making us feel so welcome and comfortable! We enjoyed our meals with you and your staff.

It was a wonderful meal. I wrote in my journal without distraction while the staff were there whenever I asked. Thanks to Kadir and all the waitstaff. I'd definitely come back! Great Istanbul experience.

If you want to have fun while enjoying a delicious meal, definitely eat here! To say they LOVE what they do is an understatement. We walked in on them having a dance party and our toddler loved the atmosphere, so we stayed. Our food arrived in a timely manner and very delicious.
Saboo is the gentleman literally playing with fire and Feroo was our server and he made wonderful recommendations. The most important was how great everyone was with my toddler. The whole family (from grandpa to baby) loved this place!

It’s kind of difficult to find vegetarian food sometimes in this area of the world. But I got the vegetarian casserole and it was outstanding. It was served in a hot stone dish (kinda like fajitas are served). Came with rice, bread. I was very impressed. Staff was great too. Would definitely come back.

Tip-top reviews for this neighborhood restaurant in Instanbul brought my husband and I in for the meal, but the truly excellent dishes, staff personality and presentation of the food made it a memory to treasure for a lifetime. All of the staff there made us feel welcome, but our server Feroo made our experience exceptional. His gregarious personality and dedication to making our clay-pottery-on-fire-meal special, translated into a top-notch dance presentation he invited me to join. It was sheer fun and made for a great social media post. The music was surprisingly carefree and upbeat as well. This restaurant is perfect for a romantic date or larger group or single traveler. All will feel happy and welcome and full upon leaving. And all will have a story to tell. We highly recommend!

Amazing customer service and attentive waiters. Food was super delicious and portions were decent. We really enjoyed atmosphere there and their shows makes this place outstanding and memorable. For sure the best part of my holiday in Turkey. Highly recommended for every vistor in every aspect.

Amazing service, food and specially the show. Since we arrived they made us feel so welcomed and gave us grate advice of what to order. The hospitality and service made it an even better experience. Seboo gave us great service, show and we made a new friend. I highly recommend it!

We had dinner here on our second night in Istanbul, as Kadir the co owner was saying “Hi” every time we passed by the restaurant on the way back and from our Hotel, Royan Hague Sofia. The food is delectable and the service is superb here! A must if you are in Istanbul!

Utterly fabulous food!

We’ve been searching for an authentic Turkish kebab at every stop on our cruise, and most definitely found it here. From the atmosphere, to the service, to the flavour and quality of the meat used in the kebabs, we are really very impressed.

We’re big fans of Turkish balloon bread and make our own at home, and it’s fair to say we’ve absolutely been put to shame!

A definite place to visit if you’re around!
